Worth the trip! - We did a day trip to Amboseli from Nairobi. Peter was so knowledgeable and was able to spot animals from far away. We saw sooo many beautiful animals (elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, etc). The roof came off the top so we could stand for better view point! The only bit of information that would have been nice to know in advance is that you have to book your park tickets online. We tried to do it from the gates, but we did not have reception, and therefore could not enter our security passcode from the bank it (since they have to text you a one time passcode). It would have been great to purchase the tickets in advance, knowing they don’t except cash or card at the gates. The drive is long and the drivers are pretty wild LOL but I would highly recommend this tour!

Lovely day! - Such a beautiful experience! Peter, the guide, picked us up right on time and dropped us off at the airport in the evening. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He could spot animals from miles away and knew all the good spots! The vehicle was comfortable with the top that opens up. The windows are small so it’s better the stand up for the photography. We struggled paying for the park entrance pass as they wanted us to do it online but our credit card security needed us to confirm the transaction over the phone (although we did not have service). Luckily Peter and the team helped us pay it upfront then we stopped at an ATM on the way back. But it would have been nice to get the link in advance to be prepared at the gates. Please note they don’t take cash nor card- it has to be done online. We saw so many animals (elephants, monkeys, hippos, giraffes, zebras, etc). Overall we are very happy with the trip and would recommend!

Unforgettable day trip to Amboseli! - I had an incredible day with my guide (Peter) on the day trip to Amboseli. I chose this option because I only had 2 short days in Kenya and wanted to see the renowned elephant herds and the Mt Kilimanjaro backdrop. It was an early start (5am), but Peter navigated the hectic traffic like a pro while I was able to sleep for a good part of the 4 hour drive. Thanks to Peter’s sharp eyes, I was able to see dozens of elephants (the stars of the park) wildebeests, ostriches, hippos, crowned cranes, gazelles, secretary birds, flamingos, water buffalos, and many more. Lunch was at an amazing lodge within the park (Ol Tukai), where I was able to eat and drink a Tusker beer while watching a huge elephant in the distance. After an awesome time at Amboseli, Peter was able to get me back to Nairobi by 730pm, in time to make my late-night flight back to the U.S. If you are short on time, book this trip—you won’t regret it—especially with Valley Rocks’s extremely reasonable rate.

Long drive, but great wildlife! - Drive is so long but worth it! BRING SNACKS and LOTS OF WATER!!! While in park I asked about stopping for lunch but it ended up just being a stop at a gas station after leaving the park. There are bathrooms in the park which is nice. Not sure why they list water and tshirt included because I didn’t receive either. We had some car issues on the drive back, but my driver was able to fix it within 20 minutes which was great! I traveled as a solo female and never felt uncomfortable.
