On Safari from the 13. til the 16th of December 2019 - The gamedrive startet at Ngutuni Lodge. There I saw two Gepards very near. It was great. The food in the Lodge was nice. My room had a good view to the waterhole. The second day my safariguide me drove to Tsavo East and saw lions, giraffes, elephants...I stayed tue night at Voi Safari Lodge with a wonderful view. The third night I was at Saltlick Lodge. A very nice place to stay. Unfortunately there were almost no animals to see. I had a wonderful safari

Money issues, no lodges book but afterall a good safari - I had booked 4 day Animal Kingdom, Tsavo East and West and Amboseli. On the morning of departure I was told that the other bookers had cancelled so I was the only one to go on this group tour and that gave the organizer, Bryan, some economic difficulties. He asked to borrow 200 USdollars although everything had been prepaid months in advance. I gave him 10000 shillings so we could get on the road, and was told I would get them next day. When we turned up at the first lodge that day, they did not have any booking for me, and I ended up in a lodge less attractive, no real window in the room, dirty, food just ok. Next day same thing happened, but when I complained about the place they were going to send me, they found another lodge for me. It was not inside the park but it was nice. I was told I would get my money on the next day. On the last day, once again my lodge did not have any bookings, and I was driven to a place outside the park. I checked the room before I said ok, and it was a nice place. But when we had to leave early next morning for the last gamedrive, the room had not been paid, and Bryan asked for me to pay 1/3 of the price. I did so we could get out on the gamedrive. Having used all my cash to cover for bookings, I did not have any money for tipping my driver, and had to tell him to get his money from Bryan. The day after the end of the trip, I did get my 10000 shilling, and I believe that my driver did get his tip as well. But the whole money issue was an annoyance during the trip. And putting me up in other lodges and I have to make sure the standard is ok, is not how you expect a safari should be. That said, I did have a great safari, due to a really nice driver who did his best to make everything smooth. He was ready on time and tried to keep me updated throughout the trip. The driver is, however, not one that only works for Bryan, but an independent driver, hired for this trip. I hope Bryan will be able to handle things more professinally in the future - if not, you better book your safari somewhere else.
