Nairobi-Masai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Bigmac Africa Safari’s driver and staff will pick up guests from the hotel in the morning. A brief safari orientation will be provided before departing Nairobi by road. The journey includes a stop at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley escarpment for a scenic view, followed by a lunch break in Narok Town. The safari continues to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in the afternoon. Guests will check in at their accommodation and then proceed for an evening game drive. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s most renowned park, famous for the Big Five: Leopard, Lion, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo. It is also home to a variety of wildlife including hyenas, giraffes, elands, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, Thomson’s and Grant gazelles, and many more African wild animals. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.
Masai Mara Full Day Game Drive
Maasai Mara National Reserve - The entire day is dedicated to exploring the park’s incredible concentration of wildlife. This game reserve is Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary, hosting over 450 species of animals, including migrants. The Mara plains are teeming with migrating wildebeests and zebras, along with resident wildlife throughout the year. The Mara’s gentle, fertile climate, bordered by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve within approximately 1672 sq. km, providing an endless spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the focus here is on game viewing. Large herds of elephants roam among lions, buffaloes, Thompson gazelles, zebras, and topis. Occasionally, a rhino or leopard may be spotted. In the Mara River, hippos play and crocodiles bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million wildebeests follows the rains north. After exploring the park, return to the camp with an option to visit a Masai village. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.
Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru National Park - Begin with a pre-breakfast morning game drive, then return to the camp or lodge for the main breakfast. After breakfast, depart for Nakuru with a lunch stop in Narok Town. After lunch, continue to Lake Nakuru, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp or lodge.
Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
Lake Nakuru National Park - After an early morning breakfast, proceed for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, also known as the ‘Pink Lake’ and “Birdwatcher’s Paradise.” This location is truly breathtaking, with up to a million flamingos recorded at one time. It was the first national park in Africa established due to its abundant birdlife. Later, depart Nakuru, have lunch en route, and arrive in Nairobi in the evening. Guests will be dropped off at their hotel or the airport.
