Nairobi to Masai Mara National Park

Maasai Mara National Reserve - At 7:30 am, the driver/guide will collect you from your hotel or preferred location. Step into your private 4 x 4 Safari Jeep as the journey to the park begins, passing the stunning Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy rest stops along the way and take in the breathtaking scenery.

As we enter Masai territory, you might see herdsmen adorned in their vibrant shukas as we approach the reserve.

We aim to arrive at the park around lunchtime. You’ll have the opportunity to freshen up and enjoy lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp.

Afterward, embark on the first of many game drives over the next three days. The driver/guide will share insights about this magnificent land and the diverse wildlife you are likely to encounter.

Masai Mara National Park

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Welcome to safari time – rise early to witness the first golden light and the awakening of the park’s wildlife. Today promises maximum viewing with unlimited game drives across the expansive savannahs.

Track the big cats, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and the other 95 mammals inhabiting this renowned park.

If visiting during the Great Migration (July – October), witness the incredible movement of animals. Thousands of zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest cross the Mara River in their timeless quest for taller grasses.

The river also hosts pods of hippos and watchful crocodiles, observing the vast herds entering their domain.

For a cultural experience, ask the driver/guide to arrange a visit to a local Maasai village.

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin the final safari day with an early game drive, seeking out favorite wildlife or any yet to be seen.

If cheetahs have not been spotted, keep an eye out for them stealthily moving through the bush, along with jackals and hyenas.

Enjoy breakfast followed by another game drive through the park as the journey back to Nairobi commences.

Pause for lunch en route to the city, along with additional rest stops.

The drive offers ample time to reflect on and discuss the three days of Masai Mara adventure.

Return to Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you will be taken to your hotel, the airport, or your chosen destination.
