Take in the African dawn as the surrounding fields come alive. We’ll pause in our travels for a breakfast break in the town of Narok.
Moving on, we’ll pass homesteads and perhaps some Maasai herdsmen along the way, wrapped in their bright-colored shukas. Expect to arrive at the park around 10:30 am.
Take in the park’s vast expanse, with its rolling hills and savannahs. This is one of the richest eco-systems in the world, holding an amazing variety of wildlife.
Your days here will be filled with game drives, tracking the big cats plus elephant, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, and plenty more – over 95 mammals make their home here.
Lunch will be picnic style down at the Mara River. This is where innumerable herds cross during the season of the Great Migration.
After more afternoon game drives, you’ll freshen up at your Safari lodge, then enjoy dinner and the evening’s activities.
Masai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge/camp, your dedicated driver guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi – Kenya’s colorful capital city.
On the way, your guide will point out the Longonot extinct volcano which is a strato volcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. It is thought to have last erupted in the 1860s and its name is derived from the Maasai word Oloonong’ot, meaning “mountains of many spurs” or “steep ridges “. You can opt to drive via Naivasha for lunch/excursions at an extra cost or drive straight to Nairobi and pass by Kiambethu farm for the tea farm tour inclusive of a three-course buffet lunch (at an extra cost) OR drive straight back to the capital and later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your back home.
