Chilham Village - Fantastic collection of beautiful historic buildings, including two castles, one a Norman keep, the other a lovely Jacobean mansion. Chilham is based around a square hemmed by half-timbered buildings. The wealth of historic architecture in Chilham makes it one of the most visited places in Kent.
Among the older buildings is the White Horse Inn, which dates to the 16th century and the gateway to Chilham Park was built by Inigo Jones in 1616. - Charing - The village has a wealth of period homes and is one of character that still has a community spirit to it. The High Street has a mix of delightful homes and shops. Home to a traditional Butcher you will also find a micro pub, general stores, hairdressers and other interesting businesses dotted around.
