Additional Information

Beginning at the historical site of Vryokastro, precisely at the ancient aqueduct, we make our way uphill, walking through a natural garden filled with sage and thyme. The ancient acropolis rests atop the hill, showing remnants of ancient Kythnos structures and harmoniously coexisting with stone houses from the previous century. Next, we move towards the south at the old Kythnos port, navigating around the cape and finishing at Apokrousi beach. Apokrousi ranks as one of the biggest and most beautiful beaches in Kythnos. Its unique positioning shields it from the wind, creating a conducive environment for seaweeds. With adequate coordination, you have the chance to swim at Apokrousi beach. Our return trip follows a shorter and scenic pathway where you can encounter various Kythnos herbs.

Blessed place! - I love the island! I grew up there. As soon as the schools closed in June until they start again in September, here we are in Kanala! I recommended it to friends and acquaintances, they loved it! It's magical! Dryopida, Chora, Loutra, Merichas, Kanala and the incredible sandy beaches that have no end. Nearby destination. It combines everything. Fun, calmness... It's worth going once!

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing - Even though it’s an island that doesn’t have a lot of trees or green in general, it was very beautiful and mesmerizing! From Little Stone walls that are built all over the island to separate peoples properties, cobblestone walkway is all over the place, friendly people villagers, great food, avoid Arias tavern in Agia Eirini but definitely try Archipelagos tavern in Kanala, better, local, homemade food for half of the price! Many beautiful beaches and a great place to relax.

Evening Trek - Spent a lovely evening with George trekking to the cliffs, churches and castle on the beautiful island of Kythnos. He gave great commentary as we made our way to some great vistas with views out to sea and the surrounding islands. I would highly recommend Spending a few hours with George as he is a nice genuine local lad. Would definitely recommend…

The ideal experience when visiting Kythnos - My friend and I visited Kythnos for the weekend and we were surprised by the island and all the amazing experiences one can have there. Our guide, George, was a definite plus and thanks to his hospitality, useful tips and knowledge of the island we managed to enjoy that weekend as if we had been there for days. He did everything he could to help us experience the highlights of the island and shared with us amazing moments ,like watching the sunset from the top of a mountain . I recommend it to anyone who wishes to meet the real side of Kythnos and its secrets and I will definitely be back soon . Thank you!!!

superbe, beau et intéressant - From September 26th to October 3rd we have enjoyed 3 excursions on foot pleasantly accompanied by Georges, professional guide in the island of Kythnos : The old village of Dryopidos, The ruins of the Kythnos Agora, The steep heights of Kefalo Castro. Georges adapts to the rhythm of his walkers whatever their physical ability with the generous desire to share and transmit. His historical comments are interesting, as is his knowledge in botany. Georges shares his love for Greece and his island in particular. The island of Kythnos is really an ideal destination for all those who particularly appreciate peace in a preserved nature to enjoy a simple and authentic way of life. Myriam and Catherine, 77 and 65 years old.
