The lake is surrounded by three impressive volcanoes: San Pedro Volcano, Atitlán Volcano and Tolimán Volcano. These majestic mountains create a spectacular backdrop to the lake’s landscape. Along the shores of the lake, there are several picturesque Mayan towns, such as Panajachel, San Pedro La Laguna, Santiago Atitlán and others. Each town has its own unique culture, traditions and crafts.
