Take your own tour. - What a great way to do this "tour" on your own time and at your own pace. Lots of info and legends are learned along the way, which makes it very interesting. We surely enjoyed it.

Fogged in - Unfortunately the foggy weather didn't work in our favor, however, we learned a lot of historical details about the area and surrounding communities from the app. We only had the one chance to visit the canyon and were unable to listen another time.

An awesome tour experience - Such a great self guided driving tour that we can take our time. The stories were fascinating and the directions were accurate. I also called customer service for technical help and they were helpful and friendly. I’m definitely gongs to use other Shaka guide tours.

Excellent guide for self drive! - Excellent guide as you self drive to the canyon. The app allows you to stop more often than a structured tour and keeps you posted on time. Narrator was fantastic giving history as you drive with lots of humour- would definitely use again!

Disappointed in the Waimea Shaka guide app - Started the app in KaPaa area, based on prompts after downloading. It played music until we arrived closer to Lawai, the starting point. 1st stop it took us to a residential home address - very frustrating, since we didn't know where it was trying to take us. We finally found the Kauai Coffee Plantation, and went to that. No where near the residential address. We then proceeded from there towards Koloa and some other places along Hwy 50 and 56. Some of the historical background information about Kamehameha was interesting. We stopped at Hanapepe and a few other towns that interested that weren't on the route. It took us several times to turn at the correct road that would take us to Waimea Canyon. The app didn't direct us to the correct road until we were passed the turn... Once on the correct road we did get some more directions to stop at turn outs to take pictures, but only a few of the turn outs were marked clearly. So needless to say we didn't see the waterfalls, we did find the smaller loop trail, and we never found the actual park entrance area that we were supposed to pay for admission to. We did enjoy the scenery at the stops we did exolore, but this $20 spent really wasn't worth it for us. Sorry Shaka, not a good experience for us.

These tours sound great, but are terrible to try to follow them. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!! - I purchased two driving tours, one on Friday, March 8th, and one for Sunday, March 10th. The friday one was just terrible. Thought Sundays would be better, but not. I have been to Kauai before, so knew my way around some, and that was good, or I would not have found ANYTHING from the directions the tours were giving. I am officially requesting my money back.

Waste of money!! - Terrible app!!!!First off it had us driving around the same block several times to get to the starting point which was in the middle of a random back road. It finally began directing us then after making two of the suggested stops it wasn’t clear where to go from there so we kept driving for about 10 miles with no direction so we turned around and it began directing again and led us back toward the starting point and it said “we have completed the tour, we hope you enjoyed this adventure”. Wait, what??? We just turned it off and googled where we wanted to go for the rest of the day. Don’t waste your money!
