Highlights
- 2251 Poipu Rd - The first portion of your lesson is spent on land learning the basics of paddling, getting up and surfing a wave. The rest of the time is in the water with your professional, fun instructor sharing tips and information on how to actually surf! A safety briefing and all gear needed is provided. Minimum age for group lessons is 8 years and maximum weight is 225 lbs.

Turn into the Ko'a Kea Resort entrance off of Po'ipu Rd. Follow the Ko'a Kea signs on your right all the way into the Valet area at the Ko'a Kea Resort (Red Salt Restaurant). Tell them you are there for a surf lesson. We are located poolside next to the Pool Bar at our Hoku Water Sports kiosk.

Highly recommend!! - We had the best time!! The instructor was so kind and patient helping everyone get up to ride some waves in!! We will definitely be returning to Hoku Water Sports for surfing next time.

Bucket list item ✔️!! - My 11 & 14 year old daughters had an absolute blast! Wish I could remember their instructors name, cuz he was fun and so patient. They both stood up right away and he was encouraging throughout the entire lesson. Thanks so much for a great time!! 🌺🏄♀️

Bucket list satisfied :) - We had a fun “bucket list” time with Kele as our instructor! He was a great instructor- kind, patient and encouraging. He was willing and able to modify the activity so that even though we’ll never be surfers at 70 we had a blast! Thanks Kele!

Best activity we did! - This was one of the best activities we did on the island. Our instructor was knowledgeable and got all six of us surfing during the lesson. My four kids (ages 7-15) loved every minute. Worth every penny. Totally recommend doing during your stay.
