In search of a unique experience on Kauai? It’s time to live your dream of surfing with our surf lessons in Kauai! Imagine surfing at Hanalei Bay, guided by a local professional surfer during your own Kauai surf lesson.Sandy bottom, shallow water, and getting up after your ride. Learners to intermediate surfers can catch waves almost daily.
In our reopening phase during Covid-19, we offer either personal lessons or semi-private lessons for 2 or 3 people. The cost for a private lesson for 13 and older is 150.00 plus tax; a semi-private lesson for 2 is 180.00 plus tax; and for 3 it is 250.00 plus tax. Private lessons for ages under 13 are set at 125.00
We also provide group lessons for 4 people at a rate of 300.00 plus tax for a safer learning environment for instructors.
- Participant must call and re-confirm booking 48 hours prior to activity
- Participants are with their own people whether 1/2/3/4 or more so can be an age you feel appropriate.

Fantastic surfing lessons in Hanalei Bay with Hawaiian Surfing Adventures - We had so much fun learning to surf with Kohl and Hawaiian Surfing Adventures! We were a multigenerational group, with ages ranging from 9 to 68, and we all had great fun and great success learning to surf! We were all able to ride waves all the way in, and had so much fun that we also rented a surf board from HSA for 3 additional days of surfing on our own. I can't think of a better place to learn to surf than Hanalei Bay. Thank you Kohl and HSA!!!

Very friendly and helpful - Kohl was a great instructor and all 4 of us got standing the first time! We ended up renting a surf board a total of 3 days from this shop and will rent from them again

Great experience and wonderful staff! - We had a great time at our surf lesson! Jack, Sean, and Kohl were amazing instructors- my son got up on his first wave! The staff are all friendly and helpful. Lynn, drove us to the pier and was fun to talk to. Can’t say enough about the simple instructions that lead to a successful day of surfing on Kauai.

10/10 Recommend Surfing with Hawaiian Surfing Adventures - Luka was so cool and was such a great instructor. Hawaiian Surfing Adventures was easy to locate and check-in. They provided wet suits for us, and gave us easy directions on where to park and find our instructor. Luka was easy to learn from and taught us well enough for us both to get up on the board, catch wave after wave and surf!!! It was so fun. Definitely would recommend surfing to anyone visiting Hawaii for the first time, and surf lessons for anyone who has never surfed before.

Best Thing You Can Do On Kauai! - Of all the fun things we've done on Kauai, this was the best! Mitchell was an amazing instructor. We had 2 adults and 2 children. The kids took to surfing immediately. With a little coaching, Mitchell even had two out-of-shape adults surfing. He was very encouraging and great with both age groups. We were curious about the local culture and history. Mitchell was born and raised in Hanalei so he was able to share local information with us too. That was an added bonus. These guys are the embodiment of Aloha Spirit. If you do anything at all on Kauai, make sure this is on your list!

Fantastic first experience with surfing 🌊 - Good and funny instructor! We got a good introduction to it all and when we got in the water, he was good at giving us tips and tricks to be more successful with surfing!
All the practical things to and from the beach, borrowing surfer shirts and changing rooms were impossible to put a finger on - super good!
All in all a really good and fun experience!
