- Hanapepe - Step back in time and explore Historic Hanapepe town, which was revitalized after World War II and transformed into an artistic haven. Here, visitors can enjoy freshly made local pastries and beverages, stroll across the swinging bridge over the Hanapepe River, built in 1912, visit art galleries, and shop for locally crafted souvenirs. Fans of Lilo and Stitch will be delighted to know this town inspired the film. Hanapepe is a genuine town brimming with historic charm, unlike any other on Kauai.
- Waimea Canyon State Park - Waimea Canyon State Park is one of Kauai’s natural marvels, often referred to as the “mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” Admire this geological wonder from various viewpoints as we climb to about 3,800 feet in elevation. We will stop at several locations for fantastic photo opportunities. Although the main Canyon lookout is closed for restoration until December 2025, the Canyon stretches about 15 miles long and 2 miles wide, offering spectacular views from numerous spots along the Canyon road.
Experience majestic beauty at its finest!
- Koke’e State Park - We will continue our ascent past Waimea Canyon State Park to explore the high forest of Kokee. Weather permitting, you will be awed by the breathtaking Kalalau Valley lookout, the largest valley of the renowned Nepali coast. We will pause for lunch at the Kokee Lodge, originally built in the 1930s as a hunting lodge. Their meals, made with locally sourced ingredients, taste like home.
- Spouting Horn - Finally, we will visit the Spouting Horn in Poipu. This remarkable natural wonder, formed by an extinct volcano, is a water blowhole that can reach heights of up to 20 feet. Witness the power of nature as the water erupts like a geyser. On our way out of Poipu, we will drive through the famous Tree Tunnel.
