Experience a three-hour kayak and snorkel guided tour in Kauai as you explore the scenic Hanalei River and the beautiful Hanalei Bay, hosting the magnificent Bay Reef Lagoon. Behold the imposing Makana Peak (Bali Hai) while observing vibrant tropical reef fish. As you traverse the river by kayak, soak in the awe-inspiring views of abundant trees and various wildlife. Your naturalist guide will educate you about the region’s flora and fauna. Savor a snorkel trip in the idyllic turquoise lagoon.
- Please bring the following items: sun protection, light shirt, bathing suit, footwear for the beach (tabis, aqua socks or tennis shoes), towel and change of clothes
- Please include your choice of lunch: Ham, Turkey, Veggie or Peanut butter jelly
- Guests much be comfortable in the ocean. Smaller waves during certain times of the year.

A little bit of everything - We were originally planning to do ocean kayaking with another company but the waves were too high. We were able to switch to this last minute and it was more laid back tempo.
Also nice that they offer pickup in Princeville if you call them. Most of the tours require you to travel closer to Kapaa so if you are staying in north shore, we found this company and one other near Princeville.
They provide needed equipment and dry bags. Justice, our guide, was a great teacher for the ocean kayaking. We had kayaked before but never ocean kayaked. If you want more of that type of adventure they have other tours but the high waves can cause it to cancel.
It was cold on the day we went so snorkeling with wet suit or skins would have been more comfortable. We saw lots of turtles, though!

Michael F was our tour... - Michael F was our tour guide and he was the best. Honestly, the man is a Zen Master who also does Kayak tour guiding on the side. It helped that the north part of the island is as beautiful as a place I have ever been. It's a must.

Awesome, beautiful - The guide (jay) was very knowledgeable about the island. He was very friendly and helpful, the tour was awesome water was great and the scenery is beautiful, would definitely recommend and do it again

Family holiday trip in Hanalei - My family had a WONDERFUL trip with Jay and Nova (guide in training). Jay pointed out all the flora & fauna and had so much knowledge on the island. We saw 2 sea turtles taking a “bath” in the Hanalei River and even though the sea was rough we kayaked out into the waves and had a great beach day in the bay. We will do this again next trip!

Fun w the family - We had a great time with J kayaking the river, into the ocean and back. Snorkeling was good and a nice picnic lunch provided. We had no kayaking experience really and were easily able to manage! Thanks, J, for the great day!

Fun, challenging and educational. - Our guide Gabe was awesome and so was our junior guide, Nova. His calm demeanor and knowledge of the area provided a great level of comfort, education and fun! The mix of easy river paddling and the more challenging ocean swells made for a fantastic day.

Successful paddle to Hideaway beach - Jay was knowledgeable about the island and entertained us with much info along the way. The river had floating flowers and I thought it was so pretty. We braved the waves in the bay and paddled to Hideaway beach. Didn’t capsize, although we were warned we should expect it. Success!

First I want to say our... - First I want to say our tour guide Harrison was great. He knew a lot about Kauai and the animals and plants and history. The problem was that we woke very early in the morning to drive 40 minutes to the meeting spot on our ticket. Only to be told we are driving exactly back the way we came. So we got back in our car and drove the exact 40 minutes up to Princeville to meet the rest of the group. There should have been much better communication of meeting spot locations. Also it was strange that a bottle of water wasn’t even included. The kayaking was fun and the snorkeling was a good spot. But if I did it again I would have done a catamaran snorkeling tour.
