Fabulous Kayak tour and great hike to gorgeous falls! - This trip was fabulous! Levi was the best guide! He added his own Hawaiian touch to the tour by blowing in a shell at different stops and reverently showing us traditional prayers of the Hawaiian culture as we made our way to a gorgeous water fall. He also made sure we felt like a family group keeping us together snd safe! We highly recommend this tour! Wear water shoes! You will get wet and a little bit muddy!

Great adventure for the family to Secret Falls - Our family of four (2 adults, 9 year old and 13 year old) went on the Secret Falls tour and had an amazing time. The kayaking was tiring both ways, but doable. The hike was very muddy and the kids enjoyed this, but it can get slippery. Everyone should grab a walking stick at the start. My husband almost slipped a few times and I did see a woman in another group with a bloody bandage on her head. My son and I swam in the waterfall and it was great. Our guide Erickson encouraged us to head back a bit earlier from the waterfalls because he had been monitoring the rising current from the river we crossed.Crossing the river on the way back was a bit scary because the current had gotten pretty rapid. Heading back, our guide remained with the slowest kayakers and was there to help turn us around when we needed it. He was great. I highly recommend this trip for groups looking for a little bit of adventure.

Thank you for the memories - This was an experience our family will remember forever. We are eternally grateful for having Levi as our guide, sharing so much of the history and traditions of this area of the island. I proposed to my wife at these falls 20 years ago and now that our children are old enough to make the kayak and hike, we wanted to show them this magical place. Thank you for the memories!

Two fun activities with the payoff of the Waterfall! - A very fun 5 to 6 hour adventure both Kayaking and Hiking. Everything ran smoothly, from check in, to launching the kayaks, to making the trek through the forest. Decent physical health and some non slippery shoes are required (my Teva's were great). I highly recommend this tour in that you get two activities and the waterfall is the stunning reward. Nate was our guide and he did an excellent job balancing information and facts with keeping everyone at a steady pace. A recommended adventure for people seeking activity and fun!

Levi was an amazing... - Levi was an amazing guide. Breathtaking sights and such a great day all around. Not a hike for people who have lower body or serious health issues, but not too strenuous.

Great easy-going experience with Gabe - My wife and I went on the kayaking and hiking excursion to the Secret Falls with Gabe as our guide. Gabe was great! He was friendly, easy-going, informative during the hike with Hawaiian history and about the vegetation we saw. Gabe let us kayak at our own pace and provided tips along the way as needed. As for the tour itself, they provided 2 16oz bottles of water and 2 snacks ranging from potato chips to trail mix. The kayaking was not difficult on the calm river with only a headwind on the way back. Kayaking was about 4 miles round trip. The hiking was about 2.2 miles round trip to Secret Falls. Expect to cross at least 4 streams ranging from 100ft in knee deep water to 20 feet ankle deep water. Some muddy areas along the trail but most could be avoided by stepping around or over. Not much elevation change along the hike. Depending on the time of the tour, it could get crowded at the Falls. We took the 8:45am tour and seem to beat the crowds. But as we started returning on the hike at about 1pm we saw many tour groups heading towards the Falls. Overall great experience as our group was a total of 11 people. Started with signing disclaimer, kayaking instructions, van ride to the river, fitted with life jacket, kayakerd about 2 miles, hiked 1.1 miles, eat lunch (bring your own lunch) at the Falls for about 45 minutes. Then make the return in reverse order. Bring a towel if you plan to swim in the Falls pool or just to dry off feet afterwards. Back at starting place by 3pm or so.

Bring proper footwearand be prepared for a minor workout that has a great payoff - You meet at the Coconut Marketplace mall near the launch where equipment, water and snacks are provided. Nathan welcomed us to take extra provisions if needed. This is a mild workout so please be prepared for some exertion and wear proper shoes. The river is not too difficult to traverse as the water isn't flowing that quickly out to sea and we also had the wind at our back to help us out a bit. There was 3 in my party so I was paired with a singleton in a double kayak. We got along well though it took us a while to get into sync and keep from listing to the right. Nathan our guide spent most of the time keeping track of the group while pointing out some of the fauna that grows along the river. Part of the hike includes crossing a stream that is about knee deep. It was probably a little more than a mile and while some parts had platforms for you to walk on, there were still several parts that were quite muddy and slippery. Since were were all closer together Nathan was able to point out more sights along the trail like evidence of feral pig activity or invasive trees and why they are a problem in all of the islands. I slipped a little bit a few times and went down to my hands and feet once. My biggest mistake was that I was wearing cheap water socks because the soles were just a thin layer of foam. My feet felt every root and rock that I stepped on. Don't make my mistake. Just before the waterfall there is a short steep climb of maybe 10 or15 feet. There are roots on either side to help you but I was glad that we had not brought my parents with us as I am not sure we could have gotten them up and down that safely. The waterfall was glorious though and worth the hike. Coming back still required a little more effort because the wind was against us now, or was it because we were a little tired? We kept good pace even so and although the original timeline had us returning around 2 or so we made it back around 12:30 or 1:00 I think.
