Blue Mountains Perfection - Paul, our guide, was a joy to meet and a great companion throughout the day. He offered us short hikes that matched our ages, early 70s. Best guided tour ever. We hiked to Butterbox Point in the Blue Mountains to see the Grose Valley, the sheer cliffs on the rims, rivers through the rainforest, and two other valleys in the distance. Then we went hiking by a rainforest stream with beautiful cascades and incredible colors in the ferns and trees. Finally, we drove into the Megalong Valley, looking for Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Wombats.

A Great Day Out - This was a full day Safari style road trip in a comfortable large off road SUV. Our host and driver picked us up on time from our Hotel and firstly discussed our itinerary to either agree or make changes based upon our preferences. Our exploration took us on and off road as in Beyond The Blackstuff. We ventured high into the mountains along dirt tracks and spent an hour of easy walking through light scrub bush visiting the fabulous views across the valleys and mountains only locals would know about. After a short stop to pick up a provided light lunch we moved on into the valley and rainforest. A short 40 minute walk through the incredible wooded valley gave us the opportunity to see, smell, touch and photograph the native palms , mosses and mountain stream in all its magnificence. We drove on deeper into the valley to end on a fire track miles from anywhere surrounded by wild kangaroos where we were able to walk and photograph them, all within a few meters. We were also very fortunate to see an ant eater achidna shuffling through the grass which was the icing on a great day out. Thank You Paul.

Awesome experience and a must do. - Fantastic experience & a real highlight for our holiday. It was great to get of the beaten track a bit and escape the hustle and bustle of the more visited tourist areas. Paul was a fantastic guide, and is very passionate with a great knowledge of the area. He was a delight to spend the day with. Would totally recommend this trip as a must do!

The highlight of my visit to Australia - Paul and Stef are a terrific team. They brought us to areas, such as the Lost City, which are unavailable to many tours because a 4WD is needed to access these remote areas. I felt safe climbing in places I might have avoided if not for the guidance of Paul and Stef. And my first 4WD experience was GREAT! I can't recommend this tour enough if you wish to have a unique and unforgettable experience in the Blue Mountains.

Unfrogettable Tour - Paul was an excellent guide who has a great passion with his work and has a lot of knowledge about the area and the nature surrounded. To be honest I'm not an outdoor person and never be adventurous but he adjusted our level straight away and his skillful driving made us very comfortable even on off roads. If you are adventurous he is also a person who can make you experience amazing things. I found his tour online and we couldn't stop being grateful to find his tour. We never expected our mini holiday this much. He made our trip unforgettable. His tour is absolutely exceptional!

Such an amazing day! - GUIDED 4WD ADVENTURE TOUR My husband and I cannot recommend this tour enough. We got to see so many unique spots that we otherwise would never be able to get to on our own. Paul is extremely knowledgeable and he made sure we had a fantastic time. We were collected from our hotel and headed to a beautiful bakery where we chose our sandwiches and drinks for lunch. These were packed into the esky at the back of the Landrover. Then we set off. What a journey! The most inhospitable terrain was no problem – I was glad I was sitting in the back and not driving- Paul wasn’t fazed by anything. He navigated through whatever lay ahead – water, over rocks, down deeply scarred tracks which had been washed away by rains – not even roads in some places! Such skill from Paul, great fun to be a passenger! Crazy video to watch later! We loved getting to the plateau overlooking the rocky pagoda-like structures. Such an amazing place to be. After retracing our steps, we then headed towards the Wollemi National Park through a tunnel which used to have trains going through. We stopped for lunch on the other side of this, near to pagoda rock formations – they were lining the roadway. Then we set off for the Glow Worm Tunnels in the Wiradjuri area of the Wolgan Valley. There was a short walk from the car park to an information board showing the route to the tunnel. Once we were inside, Paul told us to turn off the torches. At first, nothing could be seen. Once our eyes had become accustomed to the darkness, tiny lights appeared all over the walls and ceiling – looking like a tiny Christmas Village! An amazing spectacle to witness. We headed back towards Katoomba after this. Stopping at Blacktown to see the Wind eroded Cave and Anvil Rock. We would never have found this area on our own. Well worth a visit and not advertised anywhere on the tourist information leaflets or maps. Thank you Paul for taking us to the most amazing sights during our day with you. Thank you for sending us the photos too - they were incredible.

Must do tour- book it ! - Highly recommend this tour. Paul and Steph went above and beyond. Informative yet easy-going and accommodating. This tour was the highlight of our five days in the Blue Mountains. Being in the truck itself was fun and the scenery and visited spots spectacular. Thank you Beyond the Blacktop for a memorable evening.
