& UNESCO World Heritage Sites Tour of Kathmandu with Breakfree Adventures - I contacted Bharat of Breakfree Adventures yesterday evening upon my arrival in Kathmandu and he immediately made the tour arrangements of Nagarkot and All 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites Tour for my family and I today. The guide that was assigned - Madan Sapkota was already waiting for us at the hotel lobby at 3.45am (we are supposed to meet at 4am). The journey to Nagarkot was smooth and comfortable. Driver was very good throughout the whole tour. Our guide Madan was excellent. He has very good knowledge of Kathmandu history and explained the history of each of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites to us patiently. He waited for us to view the sites thoroughly and did not rush us. We enjoyed the tour very much. It was truly value for money!

Long and Informative - Madan was very knowledgeable about all sites. It took nearly 9 hours, and could easily have been more if you want to shop more than I did. It's quite customizable, and after arriving just the day before, I was a bit tired!

Awesome Day - We really enjoyed the tour today. We got to see so many more sites and we would have been able to see with a larger tour in a short amount of time.

Great tour, but tour organizer misquotes price! - Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide, but tour organizer constantly misquotes the price for their tours. Entrance fees to the 7 sites adds about 50 US-Dollars per person, resulting in this tour costing 270.00 USD and not as falsely quoted 170.00 USD!

Temples, palaces and crematorium showcase the living history of Nepal - Seeing the temples and palaces are a must...the architecture is incredible and our guide, Madan's, knowledge gave us good insight into the culture and history of Nepal. Madan's fluency in English was a real bonus and allowed us to focus on the information he was sharing. Besides his knowledge, he was also very professional, punctual and courteous...which made the tour go smoothly and enjoyably. The driver, Rabi, was also very good...he frequently maneuvered us in and out of traffic in such a way that we wondered how he was able to do it. He also was professional, reliable and courteous. Between Madan and Rabi, we felt safe and looked after and were able to focus solely on the sights. The one thing to consider regarding the 7 site tour is that it makes for a long day...so, I would not do it on the day of arrival as we did...instead if time is a factor, I would suggest visiting fewer sites. Besides the temples, the visit to the crematorium was fascinating and gave us a glimpse into a critical but current cultural practice.
