Chomolungma Base Camp - Exceptional Company - Myself and my friend completed the Everest (Chomolungma) Base Camp Trek with Nepal Hiking Team in April of this year and I could not recommend them enough.
Throughout the entire process of booking, planning, and the lead up towards the hike, they were easily contactable, timely in their responses, and provided us with the necessary information to feel fully prepared for the hike.
Our tour guide, Ganga Tamang, was exceptional. He prioritised our safety at all times, ensuring that we were equipped with the necessary equipment and knowledge to complete the trek safely and efficiently. He taught us valuable information regarding the history of Nepal and various mountains. We were so incredibly grateful that we had Ganga as our guide.
Our porter, Dipesh Anjan, was equally as exceptional. Ensuring our safety at all times and remarkably transporting our supplies that were critical for us to complete the trek.
I could not recommend Nepal Hiking Team enough. We will definitely be using them again for any future treks.

Words will not do this trip justice! - At the end of 2024 I made the impromptu decision to book a solo trip to Everest Base Camp - this was my first time in Asia so was due to be a fairly big culture shock, but the trip was incredible.
The experience with Nepal Hiking Team was absolutely fantastic - a special mention to our guides Vishma, Sandip, and RB.. who absolutely made the trip with their humour, kindness, and impeccable knowledge. Everything was so seamless, whether it be airport transfers, tea room bookings, or trekking permits, everything was organised and arranged with absolutely no problems.
I left only one full day between the end of the trek and my flight home, and when we ran into significant flight delays at Lukla Airport (what turned out to be 2-3 days without flights), between Ganga and my guide Vishma, I was on a helicopter flight to Kathmandu within minutes, and made my flight home.
I cannot recommend NHT enough. An incredible trip that has changed my life for the better.

An unforgettable EBC hiking trip - The last ABC hiking trip was a very pleasant experience. This time, we continued to find Nepal Hiking Team for EBC. The boss was very attentive and arranged ABC's guide RAMKRISHNA. The EBC hike was quite difficult and there were some minor problems. Fortunately, Ram helped us solve them very well. We were very satisfied with the accommodation and food arrangements. With the help of Ram, we successfully arrived at the Everest Base Camp. If we come to Nepal for hiking next time, we will still choose Nepal Hiking Team.

Everest Base Camp - Had an amazing and unforgettable trip with NHT to EBC with my best friend!
To begin with Ganga (CEO) was very efficient and had great communication with the administrative side of booking the trek- and already showed how highly professional the company is even before starting the trek.
A special shout out to our guide Ganga Tamang and porter Dipesh! From start to finish we were looked after amazingly, their knowledge, attentiveness and enthusiasm ensured that we were well informed and supported every step of the way! They went above and beyond to look after us on our trek and their skill still amazes us with the conditions and situations we faced even on the way back from EBC! Such as booking the best accommodation for us when we changed plans last minute on the way back to Lukla! They also make amazing photographers and ensure you capture and enjoy every moment!
On the day we were to fly out of Lukla- due to changing weather conditions flights were cancelled but with the organisation skills of both our guide Ganga and CEO Ganga- we were able to get on a helicopter at the end of the day and last minute which was extremely impressive compared to unfortunately other people being stranded even when booked for a helicopter! The journey itself down the lower heli pad was one to remember- Ganga and Dipesh helped my best friend and I through insane conditions through the forest which I would never expect a guide or porter to go through but they did for us and ensured we got to the heli pad safely and in time for our flight!
Still in shock to this day the commitment of care from them- not even just on that day! I still remember the push on EBC day when it got physically tough- Ganga and Dipesh were there supporting the whole way and I couldn’t have done it without them! Even just over a week after the trek I am already looking forward to booking my next trek with NHT- I wouldn’t book a trek with anyone else!

Vishma and the Nepal Hiking Team turned a daunting trek into a dream journey to EBC – we'd hike with them again! - We recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek with the Nepal Hiking Team, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Vishma, was exceptional – knowledgeable, supportive, and attentive to our needs throughout the journey. He ensured our safety, provided insightful commentary on the region's history and culture, and helped us navigate the challenging terrain.
The scenery was breathtaking, with majestic Himalayan peaks, picturesque villages, and serene valleys. The team's organization and logistics were seamless, allowing us to focus on enjoying the trek. Vishma's expertise and enthusiasm made a significant difference, especially during moments of uncertainty or fatigue.
We highly recommend The Nepal Hiking Team to fellow travellers. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainable tourism practices are evident in every aspect of the trip. Vishma's guidance and care made us feel confident and supported throughout the journey. If you're considering trekking to Everest Base Camp, look no further than the Nepal Hiking Team – you won't be disappointed! 5 stars isn't enough; we'd give them 10 stars if we could!

Brothers Bucketlist Adventure Of A Lifetime - We had a truly exceptional experience with our hiking companions, Paban (guide) and Melon (porter), and the Nepal Hiking Team for organizing our itineraries and recommendations. From our arrival in Kathmandu to our departure, everything was meticulously organized. The highlight of this journey was the excitement, cultural immersion, culinary experiences, and camaraderie with our hiking team. This lifetime experience with my brother was made possible by the Nepal Hiking Team, who delivered outstanding service. We are grateful to have entrusted our adventure to you.

14-day Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team - I’ve just returned from an unforgettable 14-day Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team—and it was truly the adventure of a lifetime!
Right from the start, communication with Ganga, the Managing Director of Nepal Hiking Team, was exceptional. He answered all our questions promptly and thoroughly, which gave us complete confidence in choosing them for this journey.
We were warmly welcomed at the airport by our guide, Paban Khadka, who would be with us every step of the way. From organizing our gear and coordinating flights to and from Lukla to sharing deep insights into Nepalese culture and traditions, Paban ensured a seamless and enriching experience. His enthusiasm, care, and positivity made a lasting impact on the entire group. After completing the trek, he even arranged a last-minute helicopter ride back to Kathmandu at our request—a testament to his dedication.
Every evening, Paban would brief us on the next day’s hike and check each trekker’s oxygen levels, ensuring our safety and comfort at all times. The food and accommodations throughout the journey were well-organized and consistently exceeded expectations.
We were also supported by three outstanding assistant guides who made sure we stayed well-fed, hydrated, and motivated. Their knowledge of the region and constant support added so much value to the experience.
This trek was flawless in every way, and I can’t recommend Nepal Hiking Team highly enough. Already looking forward to the next adventure—miss it dearly!

Unforgettable EBC Trek: Challenging But Worth It With Nepal Hiking Team - This trek is unbelievable. Youtube videos really don't do it justice. It is breathtakingly beautiful and quite challenging.
You are either reading this review because you are deciding whether to do the EBC trek or because you've decided you're doing EBC and are choosing a company to book with.
Should you do EBC
Obviously only you can answer this. But hopefully my experience can help you decide. I think this trek was my favorite thing I've ever done. But also one of the hardest. I would not expect to be having drinks and social hour every night, or for this to be a relaxing getaway, or to have extra time for anything. Half, yes half, of the group that started didn't hike down. They took a helicopter. Most of the group also took Diamox for the altitude. I think everyone, myself included, underestimated how hard this is.
If you are looking to have a social or relaxing trek, those options exist. I've heard ABC is great for that. If you are looking for a challenge, or just an exceptional hiker, maybe EBC is right for you.
Should you book with Nepal Hiking Team
1000% yes. Whatever hike you do, it's a yes. Try to get Ram as your lead guide - he's amazing and made the whole experience. My assistant guides Bikas and Sabin were awesome too. Pretty sure everyone on their team is great though!
Little anecdote, we had a 12 yo along for our trek who got sick after one of our most challenging days. Ram, Bikas, and one of our porters carried her back down the whole days hike for emergency care and stayed overnight with her until she was in a helicopter on the way to Kathmandu's hospital with her parents. And Ram managed to catch up with us the next day. These guys are beasts! This can be a dangerous trek and Ram is someone that, after spending 2 weeks with, I 100% trust with my life.
Things to note:
- Expect variable costs beyond the initial booking price. We needed a helicopter to reach Lukla due to weather conditions (to avoid delaying the trip). Budget approximately $1,000 USD extra for unexpected expenses. This stuff happens, it's part of the adventure, and it's totally worth it.
- The coordination required for this trek is immense, and Nepal Hiking Team makes it look effortless. They have everything dialed in perfectly, but set realistic expectations about the challenges involved.
- Be honest with yourself about your fitness and altitude tolerance. Remember that half our group needed helicopter evacuation - this isn't just a walk in the mountains!

Epic Everest Base Camp Trek - I just came back from a 14-day trek to Everest Basde Camp with Nepal Hiking Team and it was epic!
I was recommended by a friend who trekked with them solo Easter last year.
Excellent communication from Ganga and his brother answering questions beforehand, which gave me all the information I needed and the confidence to book with them.
Picked up from the airport by my actual tour guide, Ramesh! He'd look after the whole group for the next 2 weeks. From sorting our equipment beforehand to getting us on planes in and out of Lukla, Ramesh made sure we had the best time. he also brought the energy and good vibes, as well as educating us on Nepalese culture and traditions.
He was supported by our 2 awesome assistant guides Kadji and Amir, who made sure we had all the food and drinks we needed and had an excellent knowledge of the mountains and local area.
We had the best time and couldn't have asked for more. Miss it already!
