Arrival in Kathmandu [1345m/4411ft] and Transfer to Hotel.
Kathmandu - Upon arrival, proceed outside the airport terminal where a representative will be waiting to greet you. They will escort you to the hotel located in the heart of Kathmandu and assist with the check-in process. You may choose to rest at the hotel or visit the Nepal Guide office…

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla [2800m/9184ft][45 min flight] & Trek from Lukla to Phakding [2640m/8659ft] [3 hrs trek]
Phakding - After breakfast at the hotel, head to Tribhuvan International Airport for an early morning flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Khumbu and Everest Region. Upon landing, follow the trail that gradually ascends along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River, passing many Mani walls before reaching Ghat. From there, experience both uphill and downhill trekking towards Phakding.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar [3440m/11283ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Namche Bazaar - Departing Phakding, cross a small stream and begin ascending to Bengar. The route includes both uphill and downhill sections. Stop at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park for registration and entry fee payment. Continue with a steady climb to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital, where an additional day will be spent for exploration and acclimatization.
Rest Day at Namche Bazaar - for Acclimatization.
Namche Bazaar - Enjoy a rest day at Namche to acclimatize to the high altitude. This involves hiking to a higher elevation and returning to a lower one for sleeping. Take a day trip to Namche Bazaar, climbing about 300m to Khumjung, and visit local monasteries and schools.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche [3867m/12683ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Tyangboche - After a full day at Namche Bazaar, continue towards Tyangboche. The trail leads to the Mongla pass at 3,975m, offering stunning views of the mountains and culminating at the region’s largest monastery, Tyangboche.
Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche [4260m/13972ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Dingboche - On the sixth day, trek through lush alpine forests and several small villages, providing a glimpse of mountain life. Pass through Khumbila Khola Valley and ascend the ridgeline, marveling at the landscape. The trail to Dingboche offers breathtaking views of Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cholaste, and more.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche [4930m/16170ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Lobuche - Head towards Lobuche via the steep terminal moraine left by the Khumbu Glacier. Although the uphill climb may be challenging, the backdrop scenery is motivating. At the hilltop, find memorials for climbers who lost their lives on Mt. Everest. After some climbing, reach Lobuche.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep [5180m/16990ft] then to Everest Base Camp [5380m/17646ft] and back to Gorakshep
Gorakshep - This is the most anticipated day of the Everest Base Camp expedition. Begin early, heading towards Gorakshep, with views of the Khumbu Glacier along the way. As you near Gorakshep, the trail becomes more challenging. After a brief stop, continue slowly to Everest Base Camp. At the top of the Khumbu Glacier, see the Khumbu Icefall. After a couple of hours, reach the Everest Base Camp. After enjoying the site, descend the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier back to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.
Morning Hike to KalaPatthar [5545m/18187ft] and Trek to Pheriche [4243m/13917ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Pheriche - Hike to the trek’s highest point, Kalapatthar, for the best viewpoint in the Khumbu Region, as Mt. Everest is obscured from the base camp by Mt. Lhotse. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas. Then, begin the journey to Pheriche.
Trek from Pheriche to Tyangboche [3867m/12683ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Tyangboche - Descend towards Tyangboche, with an easy downhill trail to Pangboche Village. Cross the bridge over Imja Khola and continue climbing to Tyangboche.
Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar [3440m/11283ft] [4-5 Hrs Trek]
Namche Bazaar - A steep descent from Tyangboche leads to the Dudh Koshi River. Cross the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi and proceed to Phunki Tenga. Pass through Tashinga and Sansa to reach Namche Bazaar, where you will stay overnight in a local tea house.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla [2800m/9184ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]
Lukla - The final day of the EBC trek with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition takes you from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. Descend through dense forests, enjoying the pleasant walk with short ups and downs, and cross the Bhote Koshi River three times. A final 45-minute uphill climb brings you back to Lukla.
Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu [45Min flight]
Kathmandu - After breakfast, take an early morning scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel, where you can rest or explore the bustling streets of Thamel. Strolling through Thamel is a great way to spend quality time in Kathmandu. In the evening, join a farewell dinner organized by Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition to celebrate the successful completion of the trek.
International Departure as per Flight Schedule
Kathmandu - With final farewells, head home. Representatives from Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition will drop you at the International Airport according to your flight schedule. Arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight. Nepal Guide will bid you a memorable farewell.

- Our Everest Base Camp Trekking cost inclusion includes the accommodation if three star rated hotel in Kathmandu. Matching the customer preference and required we can easily upgrade the accommodation status. During the trekking days, you will be provided with accommodation in available tea hoses lodges. Depending on the number of pax your accommodation will be arranged in – Single, Double, Triple or Twin Sharing as per your requirements. It may occur that you may have to share the twin sharing rooms with other trekkers but in that condition, proper safety and security of your belongings will be done. Attached toilets may not be available in every tea houses, so you need to get out and make use the public toilet for your convenience.
- During your time spent in Kathmandu, we provide you BB plan – Bed and Breakfast program. However, you will be provided with all meals on board (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the entire trek duration. Wide varieties of food from all around the globe will be offered on the menu. One of the major plus points of staying the teahouses is that they serve healthy food in very orderly manner. Another thing that we must keep in mind is that we will eat our dinner after reaching the teahouse and the following morning we will have our breakfast at the same teahouse lodge. Similarly, we will enjoy our lunch en-route while heading to the next destination.
- Everest Base Camp Trekking is a moderate and adventurous trekking trip that demands trekkers with ability to walk 5-6 hours a day. The trails along the Everest Base Camp rises soundly above 5000 meters from the sea level. Trekking in the high altitude give briths to unexpected high altitude sickness, hence trekking slow and in a steady pace would be a perfect solution in such conditions appear. We recommend trekkers to maintain physical fitness (jogging, cycling, swimming etc) prior to couple of day before the actual trekking date. High mountaineering skills are not required for this trek however previous trekking experience is a merit for Everest Base Camp Trekking.
- Classified as the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking are:3 months in Spring ( March, April, May) & 3 months in Autumn (September, October, November)
- Above mentioned months are considered as the best season for Everest Base Camp Trekking. Clear weather allows trekkers to enjoy the best mountain sceneries while getting the absolute best trekking experience. For trekkers who prefer trekking in less crowdy time of the year – December, January and February is probably the best time for trekking in the Everest region. Categorised as the monsoon season (June, July and August) is highly affected by rain and therefore is no good for trekking.
