Additional Information

Embarking on the Everest Base Camp trek is an exhilarating adventure that charts a path to a height of 5364 meters or 17,594 feet, serving as a stage on the journey to conquering Mt. Everest, the highest summit on the planet. This distinctively Nepalese Himalayan venture is an outstanding way to interact with local culture, connect with people, and have a close encounter with the tallest mountain in the world. The trek begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport, from where it threads along the Dudh Kosi valley for two days to reach the Everest entry point, Namche Bazar (3440m), a Sherpa region. Within Namche Bazar, amenities include government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, stores, eateries, a bakery, and a vibrant marketplace. Acclimatization is achieved through spending a day in Namche, Khumjung, and Khunde Valley. Subsequently, a two-day hike to Dingboche, positioned at 4,260 meters (13,980 ft) is undertaken, followed by another day reserved for more acclimatization. Two more days of trekking leads to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep, a flat area lying beneath Kala Patthar, which stands tall at 5,545 meters (18,192 ft), and Mt. Pumori. The final leg of the journey is a 4-day walk back to Lukla at which point, a return flight awaits to take trekkers back to Kathmandu.

Best experience: Everest Base Camp Trek (12 Days) - I did the Everest Base Camp Trek (12 Days) and it was one of my best experiences! I had a really good guide cum porter named Bishnu Tamang. He was very kind, polite and had more than 25 years experience as a trekking guide in the Himalaya! I felt really save with him, he took good care and had a good plan. I never had problems with the altitude and I didn't need medicine or anything. It was a pleasure to make that great experience and I would recommend the company.
