The Call of the Himalayas

The allure of the Himalayas is a siren song that has called to me for years. As a former extreme sports athlete, I’ve scaled peaks and trekked through deserts, but the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal promised a unique blend of adventure and cultural immersion that I couldn’t resist. Though we were unable to cross the Larkya La Pass, the trek was far from a disappointment. The journey back to Kathmandu was filled with reflection on the incredible landscapes and cultures we had encountered. The support of our guide, Indako, and our porter, Dorje, was invaluable, and their professionalism and dedication left a lasting impression.

Back in Kathmandu, the bustling streets felt like a world away from the serene mountains we had just left. As I sat with my fellow adventurers, recounting tales of the trek over a traditional Nepalese meal, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the experience.
