- Bring Official Papers
- First, be sure you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. You can obtain visas for Nepal from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas cost USD 25 for 15 days and USD 40 for 30 days till date.
- Get the required visa for Nepal.
- If you want to buy some new clothes in Kathmandu
- Our clients must have comprehensive travel insurance package. Their insurance must cover against medical, personal accident, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost of gears, natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage etc.
- Passport and Visas:
- Some of the required official documents are your valid passport, 4 extra passports sized photographs (for trekking permits), travel insurance, airline tickets and luggage tags. Visas can be obtained upon entry into Nepal. For detail information, we request you to visit our visa page.

- You can get Nepal visa prior to arrival from the Nepalese Embassy in your home country. Likewise, you can easily get up on arrival visa at Kathmandu airport and other different borders from Nepal. - You can get Western-style clothes in
- You can get designer label clothes for literally a few dollars, custom-made jeans, the price is much cheaper here but the quality compromises that never meets the Western Standards.

Magical memories of beautiful Nepal - Mr Puruji has once again delivered an unforgettable experience for my family when he arranged detailed tours of famous landmarks, namely, the Pashupathi Nath Temple, Souyambu Nath Temple, and Budhanilkanta Temple. Mr Puruji also organised a day tour of the UNESCO Heritage listed old city of Bhaktapur, on a day when we faced big difficulties with transport due to a major Taxi strike. Mr Puruji has once again proven to be an extremely resourceful, reliable & effective tour operator. He also kindly arranged late check out at our comfortable hotel accommodation, so that we could make it to our midnight flight home. Thanks Mr Puruji for taking good care of our tourist experience, and we look forward to returning to beautiful Nepal.

Kailash and Mansarovar - We have just completed our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. This wasn’t just a tour — it was a spiritual journey filled with powerful emotions, unforgettable moments, and deep inner peace.
The yatra is not a leisurely vacation. We did face a few challenges due to the high altitude, but every step, every effort, was completely worth it. One of the most joyful and memorable moments was when our group played Garba at the sacred Mansarovar Lake — a rare and beautiful expression of devotion, unity, and celebration under the open Himalayan sky.
A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Purushotam (Mr. Puru), Mr. Pimpa, and the entire team at Above The Himalaya Trekking. They handled everything with outstanding care and professionalism. The team was especially helpful to those who needed extra support in the high-altitude conditions — always attentive, kind, and ready to assist.
Mr. Puru personally guided us through local shopping, temple visits, and even managed all the necessary arrangements for airport transfers, local sightseeing, and shopping in the city. Thanks to him, everything was perfectly organized, and we felt completely taken care of from start to finish.
Our guide and driver were also fantastic — always supportive — and their knowledge and calm presence made the entire journey smooth and safe.
We are deeply grateful to Above The Himalaya Trekking for making this sacred yatra not only possible but deeply meaningful and joyous. If you’re dreaming of visiting Mount Kailash and Mansarovar, we wholeheartedly recommend this amazing team.

Best Experience of Mansarovar and Mount Kailash with Above Himalayan - Me and my wife ( from CALIFORNIA, US), had a fantastic experience with the group organized by Above the Himalayan Trekking (Puru) for the Mt Kailash and Manasarovar Yatra.
Puru is extremely professional and tries his best to make the trip more luxurious by proving the best hotels wherever possible. The overall experience has been fantastic.
He is reachable and answers all the Questions the yatris and their families may have.
Every operator focuses on few aspects of the trip. Above Himalayan was focussing on providing the best stay experience all along.with great hospitality. He collaborated with Pempa, one of the best tourist guides in Tibet who is very experienced and extremely knowledgeable. Pempa's connections in tibet were commendable, be it in arranging the Ponies, porters, Ambulances when needed.
Overall, best experience with Puru and his team. Strongly recommend everybody, try talking to them before choosing an operator for Mt Kailash and Mansarovar.

A short but eventful experience! - Our guides on our trip were very friendly and knowledgeable. We only spent a few days in Nepal but we managed to see and experience a lot.
My mom is a little older and wanted to hike, our guides were able to find the perfect hike for us that was easily manageable for her.
I would highly recommend Above the Himalaya, especially if you plan on bringing your family.

Second time with “Above the Himalaya Trekking” - We recently completed a 12-day Annapurna Base Camp trek with Above the Himalaya Trekking during our 18-day adventure in Nepal, and it was an exceptional experience! This was our second journey with them, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Suresh, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring our safety and comfort throughout the trek. The company's dedication to trust and security is unmatched, providing us with reliable guides and porters, as well as comfortable hotel accommodations. They also organized fantastic city tours that enriched our cultural experience. Above the Himalaya Trekking truly made our trip memorable, and we highly recommend them to anyone seeking an authentic and secure trekking experience in Nepal. Awesome trip of Nepal with Above the Himalaya - Above the Himalaya was an awesome tour agency. Their communication was super fast and they worked with me and my wife to created a perfect itinerary for my 2 weeks in Nepal. They answered my questions right away (I had a lot of questions) and we kept changing the plan until it was perfect. Met us right away at airport and we didn't worry about a thing for 2 weeks. We did Katmandu, Pokaharu, ABC trek and Chitwan. We were always put up in great hotels and had great guides. Best thing it was great working with a local company based in Nepal and having always local guides. Also constant contact while in Nepal if we had any questions or changes. I recommend Above the Himalaya with 5 stars!
