The Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is a popular, easy, and quick trekking route in the Kathmandu valley, ideal for those with a limited amount of time but a strong desire to experience the Himalayas. The journey begins with a quick 25-minute drive from the city to Sundarijal, from where the trek to Chisapani commences. The Sundarijal Chisapani Nagarkot trek provides various enriching experiences including a lush rhododendron forest, unique villages, meeting local people, observing their lifestyle, and enjoying an impressive western mountain view of peaks like Manaslu, Boudha Himal, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Dorjeelakpa, Shisapangma, and Gaurishankar. We can observe more than 60 peaks from this point. Other mountains are also visible, and the trek’s highlight is reaching Nagarkot, a popular spot famous for striking views of Mt Everest, particularly during sunrise and sunset.
