Archaeological Museum of Olympia - where you will see the metopes from the temple of Zeus, the magnificent statue of Hermes of Praxiteles, the statue of Nike of Paionios and the helmet of Miltiades, a famous general from the Persian wars.
You can also visit the Museum of the History of the games where you can learn more about how the Olympic games begun and the sports they were included. - Klio’s Honey Farm - You will learn a lot about the production of honey and have the chance to try it as well.
- Agios Ilias Beach - A great place for the Summer with lovely view of the bay of the Ionian Sea where you can enjoy a drink and swim.
- Monastery of Kremasti - We visit the monastery if you want to follow the tour schedule if not we can visit another place of your choice at the same distance. The monastery is located, between the villages Lanthi and Labeti on steep rock with an amazing view of the mountain Erymanthos and the forest of Foloi.

Excellent - Excellent company from the first inquiry. Our driver, Andreas, communicated with us to confirm our plans beforehand. He met us right at the cruise port, standing in front of his vehicle holding a sign with our name. He helped us plan a fantastic 5 hours in Olympia. He was not just a driver but a tour guide who taught us so much about his city. We visited the Olympic sites and toured a vineyard with wine tastings. Andreas was absolutely incredible! You will not be disappointed!

Great tour - We did a half day tour with our driver Andreas who took us to Olympia where the original Olympic Games were held. We bought our tickets for a self guided tour of the museum and then moved to Archeological area which was the area of the games. Andreas was not a guide so he didn’t accompany us but he shared with us an iPad with an app that you look at each structure and see what it looked like before and its purpose. It was very useful to go with the signs.
Afterwards we stopped at an olive oil press. Very interesting to us plus we learned how to taste olive oil. How to tell the quality. If you have time I’d recommend this stop.

Memorable half day visit to Olympia. - We meet Andreas on the dock and he took us on a wonderful half day trip to Olympia. He was informative and helpful in facilitating our visit. He drove us close to the museum and was right there later to drive us to the archeological site. He is well known and liked and when one of our party misplaced the ticket he easily convinced the gate keeper to let us in without repaying.
He made our visit very special and we recommend him highly.

Private taxi tour to Olympia and more - We used this taxi service for a private tour off our ship. They were excellent and picked us up at the port and brought us to Olympia, a honey farm, and an olive oil mill. We were able to get a lot in with a short amount of time since our ship was only there for a smaller amount of time. I highly recommend booking this over the cruise ship excursions as you will get to see much more and get a chance to talk to the locals and learn their life experiences on the island! Book early as there are limited taxis and many cruise lines come in at the same time! They are easy to communicate with as well!

Great tour - Great trip to the honey farm, the olive oil press and mt Olympia! Andreas was knowledgeable and a great host. We only had a few hours but squeezed in a lot.

Great tour, even better host - Andreas was not available on the day of our cruise stop, but set up up with a tour with Nancy. Nancy was an amazing tour guide. She welcomed us as the cruise port with our name. She let us know that our day was completely customizable and we could do as much or as little as we wanted.
She took us straight to the archeological site where we were able to stay ahead of the cruise tour crowds. Although she was unable to join us through the gate, she gave us a book that clearly explained what we were looking at and what the ruins would have originally looked like. She waited just outstanding de the gate for us and met us exactly where she said she’d be waiting.
She then took us to the Klio honey farm which was one of our favorite tours of our whole cruise. We also went to an olive oil plant and to a hotel with beach access where we enjoyed a beverage with the most spectacular view.
Another highlight was that Nancy took us to the an amazing local restaurant (not a tourist restaurant but one that the locals go to). The food was delicious and the owners were such beautiful people who treated us like we were long lost family.
Our day with Nancy was our absolute favorite day. She was such an exceptional host and tour guide. If I ever find myself in Katakolon, I will be booking with her again.

Thank you Andreas for this great time. - Very satisfied to have chosen to spend our 1/2 day with Andreas from Taxi Katakolo during our stop at the cruise port.Present on time at the foot of the boat with Van very comfortable,customization of our itinerary according to our interests of our boat return time and our budget. Help loading and folding of my wheelchair. 5-Star support with small bottle of water for the visit ...

Amazing!! - Wonderful day exploring all Katakolo/Olympia. Our guide/driver Marilena was excellent and so very kind. She was Knowledgeable and knew just where to take us to beat the crowds. Would highly recommend- you won’t be disappointed!!

A wonderful experience - Andreas is a multi generation local who knows and loves his region. He took us to several hidden gems as well as a marvelous olive oil processing facility that was excellent. As a very experienced world traveler I can assure you will be well cared for.
