Nisyros Volcano - Within the next 45 minutes we will be arriving at the island of Nisyros. Then our bus, will take you to the highest point of the island at 2,000 feet where the volcano is , to enjoy the panoramic spectacular view. If you wish you can descend into the volcanic crater where you can feel the volcano moving under your feet and see the sulfur springs bubbling up. It’s a unique and great experience as this volcano is among the most popular and special spots in Greece. Whoever sets foot in the heart of the crater is almost impossible not to be captivated by the awe and majesty of the place around them, as the image that one faces upon stepping on the volcanic rocks it only seems unreal.
Nikia - Then, after spending almost 45 minutes at the Volcano, take our bus to the village of Nikia, at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. Located near a volcano, this village is built like a labyrinth and it’s easy to get lost in its beautiful streets.
Mandraki - Board our bus and within 25 minutes you will reach the last stop of the tour the seaside village of Mandraki, the capital and the port of Nisyros. From here, you can optionally climb about 200 steps to reach the mountain Monastery of Panagia Spiliani. From this point, you can admire the panoramic view of Nisyros and the beautiful Orthodox Church of Panagia as it is one of the jewels of the island! If you want to relax, explore the town with its unique atmosphere, stroll through the narrow streets, visit the souvenir shops and then go to Ilikiomeni square to enjoy coffee, raki, meze, and enjoy your lunch and traditional snacks such us sweet tomato!
Kardamena - At 15:30you will return to our boat, and start the return journey to Kardamena where you started the cruise in the morning. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes depending on weather conditions.

Great experience! - Great experience! Nisyros itself and the church on the mountain are very nice to visit and wander around. You can then be taken by tour bus to the foot of volcano. After this you walk 27 meters down and you are in the crater!

Awesome must go - Awesome experience day was well planned. Boat trip was nice cruse then got to niyros into coach was took to the village first., whilst other trips went to the volcano. So after 40 mins we went to the volcano which was epic.

Great excursion - The trip was great. From Booking Referral to Transfer everything worked out fine. Kiki, our tour guide, has made us very familiar with the island and the volcano and explained a lot. She kept putting a smile on our faces. Thank you for that.

Must do trip! Very good - Excellent trip, boat departed on time and there was plenty of space (mid September). The additional £8 for the coach to the volcano is well worth it, slightly scary road on the island but the driver was brilliant, we really appreciated this! We were only expecting the coach trip but there was also a tour guide on the coach who made the short road journey very enjoyable. Brief stop at a small village on the way, we visited the volcano museum which was worth the £4 entry fee, was very interesting. About 45 mins at the actual volcano crater site, best to have some proper shoes trainers or good sandals rather than flip flops! For anyone with mobility problems there is a good viewing platform and cafe at the top so you aren’t left out. Coach trip back to the port area and then we had a good couple of hours free to browse the various shops, and had something to eat before getting back on the boat. Weather was windy so a few big waves, sit in the middle of the boat if you don’t like the motion of the ocean!

Nisyros Volcano Trip - Booked this trip whilst staying I. Kos Town. Coach picked us up from the hotel around 8am. Picked up the boat to Nisyros around 9-30am with a 1 hour crossing. We were then met by the guide at 10-30 and walked up to the town centre. We had a drink and a bite to eat before returning to the harbour to get on the coach at 1-30pm to go to the volcano. We had about 50 minutes there (ample) then coach to harbour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the place. Next one hour boat trip back to Kos and then around an hour on the coach back to the hotel. A very well ran and organised trip…. But left a little underwhelmed? Full day for 50 minutes at the volcano.

Really good but very rushed - I really loved this activity. Both the volcano and Nikia village are interesting and beautiful. However, the whole trip felt extremely rushed as we were given only 30 mins to explore each site, yet we then spent 2.5 hrs at the port of Mandraki waitingfor the ferry back. I understand people need to make a living but sitting in a restaurant waiting for a ferry is not the aim of this trip. I would much rather prefer 60 mins at each location instead. If enough time was given I would happily repeat this experience again.

Holidays - My partner and I recently stayed at Blue Domes and our experience was excellent from start to finish. Everything was impeccable with stunning sea views and distinctive architecture that makes you feel like you are in paradise. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and fully equipped, with a private balcony and a magnificent sunset view.The food was very nice with many restaurants and a wide variety of choices. We highlighted the Greek taverna and the beach bar. The staff was very kind and helpful.The beach and pools were perfect for relaxing and the atmosphere was peaceful and romantic. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to couples looking for an unforgettable getaway.

A disappointing experience on the organisational side. The island is well worth a visit though. - Booked the tour from Kardamena on the Sailaway website. Despite being end of September boat was packed, some people could not sit down as no seats left. Terrible conditions, cannot imagine what August is like! No announcement on board, no indication to where was our volcano bus, we had to go and ask some staff on the boat. No one confirmed at what time the boat was leaving the island, people were really confused ... No guide on the bus either, when the tour booked described a "guided tour" the whole thing was very disappointing. Driver could not speak English, the only words he knew were "45 mins" which was the time we had at the volcano and the mountain village. I would not book the bus with hindsight but would rather hire a car or scooter and do all these things freely as the island is small and there are plenty of hire shops where the boats arrive.

Daily prices - We booked a boat trip to Nisyros Island, volcano and back. There was no organization, there were no Representatives of the company on site. Messages were answered very late. No excursion program was provided – no information about what to expect, where to board the bus, etc. We were not satisfied. Tickets for this excursion could also have been bought directly at the port of departure.

Very rushed trip. Not worth it - The main reason for booking this trip was to visit the volcano. On boarding the bus the tour guide spoke mainly German and maybe other languages but only spoke English to say we had arrived in Nikia. Got half an hour which wasn't long enough. Then the volcano, which cost €5 to enter. Although it was to see see the volcano we were only given half an hour again, so you had to rush down and back up if you wanted to go into the crater. Getting back for the boat we had to wait 2 hours for the boat back, time that could be added to the volcano. It would have been nice to hear the information about what we were seeing, not just "you are here". Very disappointed, gave 1 out of 5 for seeing the volcano
