- Thalori Retreat - This is the only Via Ferrata in Crete located in a remote location on Asterousia Mountains on south Crete. It is well belayed, easy to cross and perfect for the training of new explorers. After the Ferrata we can continue for a small hike up to Kofinas Mountain at 1231m, the highest peak of Asterousia mountain range. During the activity you will have the chance to admire breathtaking views to the rocky landscape of south Crete and south coast of central Crete.

Embark on an exhilarating and daring journey with us. The Via Ferrata, Italian for ‘iron path,’ is a climbing route fortified with a steel cable rail firmly attached to the rock, metallic steps, ladders, suspension bridges, and zip wires. Crete’s sole Via Ferrata can be found in the Asterousia mountain range. It’s of moderate difficulty (grade B on the International Scale), well secured, and boasts amazing views of the Libyan Sea throughout!
Ideal for individual adventurers and small groups (maximum 5 persons).
Appropriate for children aged 10 and older.
We provide all necessary equipment and ensure it’s in excellent condition.
Participants should be fit enough to hike for 2-4h (moderate hiking) and not fear heights.
There’s no need for prior experience.
Climbing or abseiling skills are not required.
