Our exhilarating 5-mile morning adventure begins with a breath-taking view from Liberty Memorial, followed by a downhill journey past Union Station. We make a pit stop at a local Mexican shop for some fresh fruit juice while appreciating the architectural and cultural diversity of the Westside neighborhood. We’ll delve into the history of the West Bottoms and the Pendergast era, as well as explore alleyways decorated with street art. This hike offers countless Instagram-worthy sites and obscure treasures of Kansas City. It’s not a casual flip-flop walk as we climb steep hills and stairs and sometimes walk under the open sun. Make sure to wear comfortable walking or running shoes and bring your water bottle!
