Commencing on the sixth evening, the Kumbal Perahera persists over a span of five consecutive nights. Initially, the assembly of the Devale Perahera occurs at the forefront of the sacred Temple of the Tooth. Here, the ceremonial emblems are mounted upon the ransivige (a vaulted edifice) under the escort of the Basnayake Nilames (secular overseers of the Devales).
