Early Autumn Getaway - We spent a day at the Midagahara Plains, Murodo Tateyama and Shomyo Falls. Our guide, Daniel, was a friendly and helpful. The tour was well explained and was given some time to explore the Murodo on our own. We were abit too early for the Autumn as most of the mountain are still green. Overall we still enjoyed the trip with Daniel, who has to keep to my pace because of my injured knee. Of cos, thanks for Garret who has been coordinating this trip.

Highlight of our Japan trip - We did multiple tours during our trip, but this one was the highlight of our entire trip! The views were stunning. If you want to see the beauty of Japan’s mountains and waterfalls, this is the one! There is so much to see. Every stop we thought it couldn’t be surpassed, but then the next stop was equally awe inspiring. I will qualify my review by saying that if the weather is rainy, you won’t have views. Our trip had great weather (our only non-rainy tour on our trip—-what a blessing!!) We went on a Mt Fuji tour and could not see anything at all. Garrett was our tour guide. He’s awesome. Great personality and very informative. 10 out of 10 trip. Snow Monkey Resort tours are also superior to other tour options. We had a horrible experience with our Mt Fuji private tour with a different company.

Jurassic Park - but cold! - We genuinely enjoyed every location of the tour - highly recommend coming during the fall, the foliage was absolutely beautiful. Mountains were also wonderful. Worth going to if you have a whole day free! Bring a jacket as it gets windy.

Hassle-free adventure in the Japanese Alps - I had initially considered venturing out to Mt. Tateyama by using public transit, but it required a lot of transfers and potentially eat up a lot of time. Thankfully Snow Monkey Resorts removed a lot of that headache and hassle. There was a high chance of a rainy afternoon the day I went, so my tour guide, Garrett, suggested doing our itinerary backwards, which worked well in our favor. He is a very friendly and informative guide, and he even gave me recommendations on other things to do/eat in Kanazawa. Tateyama Mountains definitely deserve its title "Japanese Alps," and hiking around Murodo was my favorite part of the tour. I wish I had worn my hiking shoes so I could explore further out. I definitely recommend wearing proper shoes with traction cause the trails can be a bit rocky and uneven. Midagahara is a fun walk, and I think some may find the trek to Shomyo Falls a bit challenging but the view of the tallest waterfall in Japan is worth it. Overall this tour is a memorable experience, and I highly recommend it.
