Highly recommended: modern, competent, and very personable. - We enjoyed our tour with Sachiko Nakai. The tour was excellently planned, and we saw a lot. It was very special that the tour was guided individually, so we could set our own pace. All our questions were answered professionally and, above all, in perfect English. This is very important, as many tour guides unfortunately don't speak English very well. Sachiko speaks very good and understandable English; it was a real treat to be able to have such a fluent and stimulating conversation with her. Sachiko was great. She was professional, experienced, and very modern. She was open to all questions, about history, culture, and current topics. We can recommend Sachiko Nakai with a clear conscience. If travelers and interested parties don't just want to "follow" but are genuinely interested in the country, its people, and culture, Sachiko is the right person for them. She represented her country very well!

Amazing Kyoto day tour - Ryosuke was absolutely amazing - patient, professional, competent, and had the best recommendation on the best way to optimize our time together and where to stop for food. He was so thoughtful and accommodated my family's various needs perfectly, while ensuring we saw so much in a single day. Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a full day in Kyoto!

Amazing Kanazawa tour! - My 21 year old son and I toured Kanazawa with Ian, who was wonderful. He tailored the tour to our interests. We feel like we really saw all of the highlights - from the geisha and samurai districts, to the market where we saw food items unique to the city, to learning the history of the Meada family and seeing shrines, and even having gold leaf ice cream. We also had a really unique and delicious dining experience. Highly recommend Ian and Kanazawa tours!

Great day tour with many highlights - We were guided through the geisha quarter and the former samurai quarter. We received a lot of inside knowledge and heard interesting details. We watch a manufacturer of traditional umbrellas create them and can try a simple work step ourselves. That was really great and we can absolutely recommend it. In general, the whole tour was very focused on our needs, a successful day.

Wonderful time. - I had a wonderful experience with Kanazawa. I used them for 2 days and they were super accommodating. Our guide Kumiko was excellent. Lots of knowledge and was accommodating to my younger teenagers. Also she booked wonderful restaurants for us to go to dinner. I would highly recommend this company.

A fascinating day out with an engaging guide - A really informative guide who took us around various parts of the city between visits to two artisans - kimono painter and lacquer work. Both were fascinating allowing us to get up really close to the artisan to watch them in action with plenty of opportunity to ask questions to learn more about these ancient crafts

Artisan tour - Lovely tour guide who was knowledgeable about the specific arts to the Kanazawa area. We saw gold leaf making, embroidery and pottery. It was beautiful and very educational!

Outstanding tour - Our full day Kanazawa tour with Nozomi was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Nozomi's enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of Kanazawa and Japanese culture greatly enriched our visit.
