Explore the Geisha districts after dark, hear the tales of what actually went on in this district during the Edo period. Our professionally guided tour will take you through the 2 most beautiful Geisha districts of Kanazawa and then we’ll sit down with fellow travellers to a full course traditional meal and drinks(included in tour price). The tour duration is 2.5 hours. You will get the chance to explore the cultural background of these unique districts and get to sample some of the local dishes available in this area. Our night tour groups are small(usually 3 - 8 people) and include a dedicated professional guide to explain the locations and the dishes.

Wonderful guided tour and meal - We went on the night tour with local meal and had a wonderful introduction to Kanazawa. Our guide Saya was friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the local area. It was peaceful exploring and learning about the geisha district at night without the crowds. The rain only added to the quiet atmosphere. The local meal and hospitality was outstanding and something we will remember fondly from this trip.

Great night! Thank you Saya - Saya was a fantastic tour guide! We learned so much! We had the opportunity to ask a looooot of questions because by chance we were only 2 people in this tour. Saya was incredibly patient, helpful and very motivated by her work. The history of the Geishas is really quite interesting, specially because they still exist.
What to say about the food? Fantastic! Delicious, fun and special.

Wonderful evening in Kanazawa - My daughter and I just returned from a fantastic evening with our guide Ai and Saya, a guide-in-training. We strolled through two beautiful geisha districts, learning about the history and rich culture of Kanazawa, while enjoying the evening light. The tour had the perfect pace after a long day.
Ai is super knowledgeable and patiently answered my many questions!
But the best part of the evening was the lovely time we had having dinner with them. The food was delicious, the setting perfect, and we couldn’t ask for better company! I truly feel like we have newfound friends in Ai and Saya!

A private tour of the Geisha district with good food - Sachiko answered all our questions and told us a lot about the Geisha neighborhood. It was an all-round successful evening. Especially the dinner we liked very much. Over Udon pasta, dessert and tea we ended the evening.
We highly recommend the tour and thank Sachiko for the great evening in Kanazawa!

Wonderful evening experience in Kanazawa. - It was a great evening and wonderful way to learn about the life of geishas, the culture of Kanazawa. Our hostess Ei was fabulous and the dinner and restaurant team were wonderful and welcoming.

A fun night in Kanazawa - It was relaxing to visit the area at night without the crowds although many shops were closed. We learned much about the geisha and the streets were quiet and peaceful. The guide was relaxed and friendly and took us to a small restaurant that served udon noodles with choice of topping. The hostess at the restaurant was welcoming

A must do in Kanazawa! - On our all encompassing tour of the geisha districts in Kanazawa, Nozomi was able to give us an unforgettable experience. From her depth of knowledge on the history of the Geishas to her ability to answer our questions on the fly, she and Kanazawa tours provided us with a memory we will cherish. If you feel unfulfilled by the end of your journey through history, fear not as one of the best dinners you will ever consume will leave you full of thoughts and noodles. I highly recommend this tour if you are going to be in Kanazawa!

Recommended activity - Nice walk through the Geisha district with interesting information and anecdotes about the history as well as everyday life in Japan. Enjoyable and yummy dinner in a nice but not posh restaurant, I definitely recommend this if you want an authentic experience of Japanese dining. Ian was a great tour guide and very helpful with additional information and recommendations. Thank you.
