- Hida Furukawa Old Town - The group will then be taken to the charming, canal-lined streets of Hida-Furukawa. There will be 1 hour to explore the town and enjoy lunch. Renowned for its timber craftsmanship and lively festivals, this village is a hidden treasure among the region’s towns and villages.
- Takayama - The next destination is Takayama, where 2 hours will be spent exploring this beautifully preserved old town, celebrated in Japan for its carpentry and sake brewing. Takayama flourished during the Edo period, evident in its layout, stunning buildings, and cultural heritage.

Fantastic tour! - Nozomi is the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Her English is almost perfect and she is incredibly knowledgeable and able to impart her enthusiasm for the places we visited in Kanazawa. We learned so much on her tour and, because she has an excellent sense of humor, it was a lot of fun. We can’t imagine a better tour.

There were 3 of us. I am... - There were 3 of us. I am a baby boomer and my 2 sons are Gen Z. Our guide Yuta was exceptional or as my sons’ would say Yuta is “the GOAT” (greatest of all time)! Not only was he well-versed in Japanese history, but he could converse about any topic that my sons’ or I brought up. Yuta has a wonderful personality. We enjoyed our time with him. This tour was recommended by a friend and it was an excellent recommendation. Yuta was patient and kind. We went to a wonderful ramen restaurant the he suggested and a great sushi place as well. Thanks Yuta!

Great tour of Shirakawago and Takayama - Great way to see small special towns outside of Kanazawa. We saw Shirakawago and Takayama towns, delightful and harming. Our guide Mai was knowledgeable, flexible and nice. The weather prevented us from visiting Hida Furikawa but Mai made good suggestions and we were really happy with our day together.

Beautiful visit to Shirakawago - Sachiko was very friendly, helpful and informative. The pace of the tour was perfect for us - not too rushed and not too slow. We apprexiate that Sachiko was very accommodating and flexible to meet the needs of our group - which ranges from 5 to 68 years old. We had a wonderful time at both Shirakawago and Takayama.

Yuta is a very... - Yuta is a very accommodating and pleasant tour guide. He gave us many interesting historical details about the places on the itinerary. The restaurant he took us to in the Shirakawago area has the best cold soba.

Beautiful trip with helpful guide. - Mai was a helpful and friendly guide who was considerate of our needs and let us go at her own pace. The UNESCO village at Shirakawago was particularly interesting and beautiful. Mai had a lot of background information to make the visit meaningful.

Highlight of Our Trip - We were in Japan for 15 days and visited several cities and did multiple tours. Our tour and time with Kumiko was the highlight of our trip. "Ku" was so charming, considerate, knowledgeable, and she prepared multiple visual aids to help us understand the history and key aspects of each site we visited. We are so appreciative and can't praise her emough. Thank you again "Ku" for making this a trip of a lifetime.

Si is the best tourist guide in Japan! - Si was an excelente guide. We did the Geisha district the Samurai house and castle gardens. She was always ready to answer questions and take pictures. Thanks AI!
