Action packed, filled with adventure and nature - First: REQUEST DANNY. Now that that's out of the way, let me tell you why. We had the BEST time, and my fiance and I can agree that it's because of Danny's dedication to us having the BEST time. He worked one on one with every tour guide to ensure we had the best experience. We felt like we were VIPs at every event. When he took us on our game drive and he was determined for us to see EVERYTHING there was to offer. He looked diligently for all the different kinds of wildlife, and we were even able to see the "trophy" (as he called it)- aka the leopard! AND WE SAW 4!! We know wewouldn't have been able to if he didn't work so hard, as we had talked to other guests along the way to compare our experiences with other companies/guides. I cannot thank him enough for an unforgettable vacation.. because we know it was entirely due to his passion for this industry. When you book with Home to Africa (which you SHOULD), do yourself a favor and make sure you request DANNY. THANK YOU FOR A VACATION THAT WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Impressive first experience in Uganda - We were a group of 6 friends from UK and Kenya. We started off with a day in Kampala followed onto chimp trekking, Kazinga channel, bird safari and onwards onto gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Our guide Derick was very knowledgeable not only in the history of each area but also very informative on his knowledge of animals and extensive bird species. He had a great sense of humour which made the long distance transfers seem not so long. Derick also looked after our needs especially the meals, as we were all vegetarians. I would highly recommend Home to Africa tours as they were very thorough and helpful throughout the whole planning and booking process. Additionally, Derick delivered our tour seamlessly and definitely way beyond our expectations.

An incredible time with Karim - My daughter and I signed up for this tour and were not disappointed. From the first meeting at the airport with our extraordinary guide Karin❤️ to the on time drop off at the end we knew we were in good hands. Karim”s 15 years of guide knowledge showed up at every turn. He answered all my questions( and I had a lot) and we always felt safe as his driving skills were incredible, even on the bumpy jungle roads. Don’t hesitate to ask for him by name!!

Truly the Pearl of Africa - What a fabulous adventure! We did the 5 Day Short Holiday Package to Uganda – Gorilla Trekking and had the time of our lives. Our wonderful guide Karim was the perfect host— friendly, warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. He picked us up at the airport and he made us feel like family right from the get go. Each day was exciting but was paired with ample time to rest and relax. A great mix of activities. Felt safe and looked after the whole time. Thank you again Karim!

Incredible company, safari and guide in amazing Uganda! - Wow! What an experience! We extended our tour to 7 nights and our trip did not disappoint. Our fantastic guide Danny (highly recommend!!) met us at the airport as promised. It was just the three of us and Danny in a clean and pretty comfy, customized Land Cruiser. We immediately set off to Queen Elizabeth national park. Danny speaks excellent English, obviously, since it’s one of the national languages! He also speaks 10 of the Ugandan languages, which was cool to listen to him switch depending who he was speaking to. He was a great, safe driver. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the customs and people, as well as the history of Uganda. Danny was accommodating with our requests, like stopping for street food: roasted corn, roasted bananas, and fresh mangoes and avocados. We loved Danny’s sense of humour and easy going attitude but also his excitement at showing off his beautiful country. Our accommodations were fantastic. We were a bit unsure what to expect on our “budget” tour but each place we stayed was great. Decent beds, mosquitoe nets (we only really has mosquitoes one night but not in our room), proper toilets and even hot water showers, which was a treat we werent expecting given that it was the cooler rainy season and we knew that some operated on generators or solar power. The meals were also really good. We were always offered several options for breakfast and as well for lunch and dinner. One in our group can’t eat dairy and they always had alternatives for her. We chose to eat local food as much as possible. The Matoke with various stews were great! But if you’re not into local food they had western food options too. The safaris were amazing. We saw a giant herd of elephants cross in front of our Jeep. A pride of lions decided to nap in front of us. The gorilla trek was hard ( I thought, my husband and friend are in better shape and didn’t think it was as challenging as me). But as soon as we saw the gorillas, so close and so majestic, my exhaustion vanished. Uganda was gorgeous! We were there in the rainy season so it was super lush and absolutely stunning. The people were incredibly friendly, always saying we were welcome there. We felt safe the entire time we were there. I highly recommend Home to Africa as a tour company, beautiful Uganda as travel destination and Danny as the best guide! You can’t go wrong. We can’t wait to go back!! Ps Eat the Rolex! They’re delicious! Safe travels!

Stellar - Awesome - no other words really needed. Our guide Danny M. was amazing, the best of the best. Extremely knowledgable, flexible and adventurous. The accommodations were wonderful, very comfortable and the tours were unforgettable. The game drives in an extended, highly customized Toyota Landcruiser bordered on luxurious. We had an absolute blast! WHEN we go back to Uganda we will most definitely hire Danny and Home To Africa again. Highly, highly recommended!!

Home to Africa created a wonderful tailor made tour of Rwanda & Uganda - Home to Africa created a tailor made tour for me that was amazing. My tour guides in both Rwanda and Uganda were incredible! Their knowledge and experience were first rate. Balam took care of everything for me in Uganda. He even made sure I had the strongest porter for my gorilla trek, since I am 68 years old, have poor balance and I am obese. He went above and beyond making sure we found leopards and tree climbing lions on my birthday. He also had a group of youngsters come to our lodge and sing Happy Birthday to me in a very unique way. I am so impressed with Home to Africa and especially Balam! If you find yourself wanting to visit Uganda, make sure you request this wonderful guide! Mat Eisenstadt

Uganda & gorilla trekking with Daniel! - Daniel our guide was the best! He was professional, polite, informational, easy going, but all at the same time a friend to us. He really made our trip great. The accommodations were great. They were clean, great staff and felt safe at all times. I can not recommend this trip enough and for the price point. The company wa shear through out the whole process. The only issue we had is we didn’t book longer!!!!! Wish we had a few more days. Thanks again Daniel
