- Lake Mburo National Park - Lake Mburo National Park is the sole location in southern Uganda where you can spot zebras and the only park in the nation that hosts impalas, slender mongooses, and giant bush rats. Additionally, you might encounter hyenas, leopards, topis, elands, and the recently reintroduced Rothschild’s giraffes. Lions are rarely seen, with possibly only one remaining in the park. The scarcity of large predators allows for horse-riding and mountain-biking activities. Among the 325 bird species, you can find martial eagles and red-faced barbets in the acacia-wooded savannah, as well as papyrus yellow warblers and African finfoots in the wetlands.
