GWS= NUMBER ONE!!! - Already chosen for the 7th time to travel around Uganda with Gorilla Walking Safaris. With 3 jeeps ( 13 people) we crossed the Pearl of Africa again. Alex, David and Patrick continue to amaze me . Their knowledge of their people , wildlife and customs is incredible. Every day they do their best to pass on their passion for their country and they succeed wonderfull every time. They professionalism , their helpfulness and their friendship always make this tour unique. On the next tour it will be back with Gorilla Walking Safaris because they remain number ONE for me.

Experienced all the wildlife that Uganda has to offer! - I highly recommend Gorilla Walking Safaris. We did a custom 9-day safari through the Uganda national parks and ended with a gorilla trek. Alex was a great help in making sure that everything was included on our customized itinerary and helped me work out the perfect safari! We were a group of 5 friends that enjoyed our tour guide, Eric. The safari vehicle was comfortable and well-maintained so that we were able to drive through the bumpy Uganda roads. The guide did a wonderful job of finding everything from elephants to giraffes to lions and everything in between. He spent enough time for everyone to get perfect photos and then moved on. The lodges that were chosen by our tour guide were very nice and we enjoyed each of the meals. When spending time in Uganda, make sure you leave time in your schedule for a gorilla hike. It was definitely a bucket list item. We enjoyed our time with gorillas. It was a rough hike in the rain --and make sure you take a walking stick -- but totally worth it!

Kenya Safari Journey ( 2 weeks) - We made a 2-week road trip through Kenya with our family of 7 adults and we are now cherishing the fantastic memories of a once in a lifetime experience. The trip from Nairobi to Naivasha, Masai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo West, Diani Beach (and back to Nairobi by train) was a very well balanced safari tour topped with a relaxing few days at the beach. The trip was organized by Gorilla Walking Safaris and we have nothing but praise for the splendid organization of all aspects of the journey. We had a positive feeling about the cooperation with Gorilla Walking Safaris from the moment we contacted Alex Guma. He is very responsive and no question remains without answer within a very short time. During the trip we could experience that all details were very well worked out. This was also thanks to our experienced guide Felix who is very professional and very strict in following the schedule that was foreseen, yet being attentive to specific wishes of the group members. The excellent driving skills, combined with a respect for other road users (and animals), a sharp eye for nature elements, knowledge about Kenya and its animals completes the picture. That Gorilla Walking Safaris is making a big effort to help to develop tourism in a sustainable way is for us also a reason for recommending the organization. Thank you Alex, Felix and joyful people of Kenya !

AMAZING TRIP WITH GORILLA WALKING SAFARIS - We booked a 16-day trip through Uganda. It included many highlights like Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls, chimp tracking in Kibale, Kazinga channel boat cruise, gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, crater lakes, Queen Elizabeth National Park and tree-climbing lions in Ishasha, Mburo NP, Mabamba swamp shoebill tour, etc. With Alex Guma we had a perfect guide and driver. Moreover, he is a great personality and very experienced. His insights and knowledge about Uganda were invaluable and allowed us to have a really authentic experience, which did not only focus on impressive wildlife watching, but also on people, local culture and nature. He went the extra mile for us and was always extremely professional and competent. THE ENTIRE SAFARI WAS TOP NOTCH AND CREATED MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME. I highly recommend Gorilla Walking Safaris, a fully registered local tour operator in Kampala. As they combine safaris in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania with authentic local encounters and guarantee sustainable adventures at all times and places you visit, I will also book my next trips with them.
