The Seven Gods of Fortune, also known as Shichifukujin, are a group of deities from Indian, Chinese and Japanese origins. These gods are believed to bring prosperity and good fortune. A visit to Shichifukujin results in obtaining a Goshuin, a stamp from a pilgrimage shrine or temple. At each shrine or temple office, a Goshuin can be stamped and calligraphy can be hand-written on a paper-board. Upon completion of visiting all eight locations, a unique blessing seal, indicating the fulfillment of wishes, can be obtained. This journey is an opportunity for good luck, happiness, and enriching spiritual encounters.
Travel on the Enoden, a quaint, charming train, and be enchanted by the breath-taking view of the splendid Sho-nan Ocean and Enoshima Island through the window. The Enoden makes its journey on a vehicular road at specific locations and is surrounded by the eaves of residential houses in the town center.
Being a teacher of Japanese, I will share with you valuable tips about the language throughout the tour.
