Excellent experience be prepared to walk! - Excellent Tour. We washed our money and saw both the inside and outside of Great Buddha. Our guide was very informative. This tour is a lot of walking uphill. My daughter had a banged up knee and we had to take Taxi and missed the hike which while uphill and long appeared to be very beautiful and peaceful. I am sorry to have missed it. However, our guide accommodated us admirably and we were still able to make it to the main sites. A big thank you to her for being so wonderful. I will update once I remember her name.

Book this great tour! - We had a fantastic tour with Yumi! She was a stellar guide and made our tour experience fantastic. It was so helpful to have her share more cultural and historical significance to the sights we were seeing. We were in Tokyo for a week, and it was nice to leave the hustle and bustle of the city for a day. Additionally, my dad is blind, and she was very patient on the hike, and describing things for my dad and answering his questions. Can’t recommend this tour, or Yumi enough.

Wonderful day in Kamakura - We had a really lovely day exploring the shrines and temples of Kamakura with Yumi. The area was beautiful and charming, especially compared to the other bigger cities we visited. Yumi was so friendly and knowledgeable and helped us to enjoy the rituals at each temple. Our day with her was among our favorites during our visit to Japan.

Beautiful walking your of Kamakura with a wonderful guide - Noriko was FANTASTIC!!!! We arrived in Kamakura without having had our morning coffee; she was quick to adjust our trip to include a delicious coffee at Verve...and the day just kept getting better. The temples and shrines in Kamakura are so beautiful. The hike up the mountain trail was unexpected and soooooo much fun. The Great Buddha was beautiful. Seeing the Pacific Ocean from this side of the planet was fun (watched some surfers hitting the waves, as well). Noriko had so many interesting facts about all the stops and of Japan, in general. She kept the tour moving along and kept it interesting the whole time. We enjoyed our time with her very much and Kamakura was the highlight of our trip to Japan!

Amazing tour guide and city! - We were a group of three and we took a day trip from Tokyo to Kamakura. Our wonderful tour guide (and new friend) Yumi, was so amazing! She’s incredibly sweet, knowledgeable and has such a kind spirit. My son is on the autism spectrum and I informed her ahead of time that he may need frequent breaks if he gets overwhelmed. She was so understanding and went out of her way to help accommodate him and he really took a liking to her. We loved the temples, the beach, the shops, the train, the food, the people, the Great Buddha and more! We’re already talking about planning our next visit! We’d love to have her as a guide again and recommend her to everyone we know!

We had an enjoyable tour... - We had an enjoyable tour of Kamakura with our fantastic guide Teiko. Although we had a rainy day, we were able to get around by bus and on foot to see all the shrines and temples without any problems. Teiko was great at explaining the history and significance of each location and even taught us a little about Buddhism and Shintoism.

Great experience and great guide - We had the pleasure of experiencing the fascinating shrines and temples of Kamakura with our wonderful guide, Noriko. From start to finish, Noriko's enthusiasm and knowledge made this 5-hour walking tour an unforgettable adventure. Noriko went above and beyond to ensure that we had a rich and authentic experience. She took us to historical sites like Tokei-ji Temple, Jochi-ji Temple, and Genji-yama Park, where she provided us with deep insights into the foundations of Buddhism and Shintoism. Her ability to share her own experiences and draw intriguing comparisons between our cultures added an extra layer of appreciation for the places we visited. The lunch stop she recommended, featuring rise and beef curry, was a delightful culinary experience and comes highly recommended. Throughout the tour, Noriko's passion for the history of Kamakura, as well as the Shrines and Temples we explored, shone brightly. Her explanations were engaging, informative, and provided a deeper understanding of the area's cultural significance. Noriko's guidance and storytelling made every moment of the tour enjoyable and educational. Both my husband and I felt like we not only gained a wealth of knowledge about Japan's history and religious traditions but also made a new friend in Noriko. Her warm and friendly personality added a personal touch to the entire experience. In summary, I can't recommend this tour with Noriko enough. If you're interested in delving into Japan's rich history, exploring iconic sites, and venturing off the beaten path to discover hidden treasures, this tour is a must. Noriko's expertise and genuine passion for sharing her culture with visitors made this tour a truly memorable and enriching experience. Thank you, Noriko, for making our Kamakura journey so special!

Kamakura tour - This was a wonderful tour with our guide Yu! Yu shared with us the practices in Japan and helped us understand the difference between Buddhist and Shinto religions. She shared the history and culture of Japan which we really enjoyed. We visited several sites, including the Jochiji Temple, Hase-dera Temple and enjoyed a green tea break amongst the bamboo forest. The Kotoku-in Buddha was amazing! I would highly recommend this tour! Thank you Yu!
