Kamakura with greater historical depth. - Despite having been to Kamakura several times, this time I went with friends and a guide, Kameda-san, and discovered new places and learned more about the history of the site. She was very friendly and professional. He explained everything, and one thing I really liked about the tour is that you enjoy the places more when they explain, for example, why the temples were built in Kamakura and not elsewhere.

Great Tour of Kamaura & Great Buddha - Great tour. We were lucky enough to have Yu as our tour guide. She was incredible from start to finish. Communication prior to the tour was excellent. We started in the Shinagawa area. The train to Kamakura was easy to navigate. Unfortunately for us we had a cold rainy day. When we met up wit Yu she gave us hand warmers and towels which was unexpected but really nice. The tour required that we take a number of trains / buses in order to move around between all the tour sites. Yu provided for all the transportation costs. We were amazed by the number of sites there were to visit. We would not have been able to find all of the sites in the area without Yu’s guidance. Lunch (not provided) was at a local restaurant and there were a number of choices on the menu. The highlight was seeing the great buddha. We highly recommend.

An amazing day in Kamakura thanks to Suzuki - We spent 4 delightful hours with Mr. Yasuho Suzuki. He was our guide for Kamakura’s temples and shrines. Not only experienced, and extremely knowledgeable he was easy to understand and was able to answer any/all questions. After spending two weeks in Japan with a guided excursion almost every day, we can confidently recommend Suzuki as one of the best guides we have thus had. Please request him if you want an enjoyable and informative tour. He went out of his way to help us. We wish we could clone him for Kyoto.

Excellent Tour - Great walking tour, Teiko had a very good itinerary and was very knowledgeable. The Great Buddha alone is worth the trip. I would recommend a tour if you are trying to fit a lot in one day. We could not have done this itinerary on our own. Teiko made lunch reservations and made sure I had a safe gluten-free meal, including gluten-free soy sauce. Highly recommend.
