Meteora - Many centuries ago, on these gigantic rocks reaching heights of close to 2,000 feet, one of the most important monastic communities of Greece was formed.
After you’ve picked up in the morning from your hotel in Kalabaka or Kastraki enjoy a comprehensive Meteora half-day tour for 4 hrs, seeing all the area of Meteora, all 6 Holy Monasteries with the chance to visit inside 3 of them. Our expert in the area local, English speaking, Tour Leader will be with you to give you all the information you need about the area, share with you a vast amount of knowledge and he will help you to visualize why and how the first monks managed to establish one of the biggest monastic community in Greece on top of these unique rocks.

- Appropriate clothing for everyone is required to enter the monasteries. For ladies skirts by the knee or longer are required. No pants for ladies, no shorts, no sleeveless shirt. For men sleeveless clothing and shorts over the knee are prohibited.

A must do Meteora experience - This tour was absolutely worthwhile! Our guide Nancy was great and our bus driver Nik was talented. The tour was organised so that we avoided a lot of the crowds and Nancy was very informative about the area and the history. Being a smaller group definitely made it easier for the bus to get closer to each monastery and there was less time wasted waiting for people.

Great Tour of Meteora! - Great guide & bus driver, Clement & Dios(not sure about spelling)! Bus driver was terrific maneuvering thru challenging traffic. Guide was awesome, very knowledgeable & passionate about sites. Provided visuals to help understand Meteora history & monasteries. Shared great details, helped with photos & kept us on schedule despite unexpected delays due to traffic. Highly recommend this tour.

WONDERFUL experience - Helpful and informative guide and coach driver. WONDERFUL MONASTIC visits. One involves 300 stairs up and 30p down. Be mindful of exercise demands, but with it, and not rushed.

Beautiful and interesting - Maria was a energetic and informative guide to this beautiful area. We visited four monasteries and stopped at a few other spots for pictures. Everything was very comfortable and on time. I can't see how you could ask for a better trip.

Amazing views. - Very comfortable bus. Nice to be driven in comfort to each of the 3 monasteries that we visited. Our guide Chris was very enthusiastic. He told wonderful stories about the sites and often volunteered as our photographer to capture us with those amazing views.
