  • Kaputan - After breakfast, we will go to Gutanasar Mountain in Kotayk region. First, we will visit Kaputan village, Kaptavank (Saint Minas Church), after which we will reach the foot of the mountain and start the ascent. The mountain is an extinct volcanic peak, the height is 2299 meters. We will start the ascent near Kaputan village and finish in Fantan village. From the top there opens a beautiful view of Geghama, Tsaghkunyats mountain range and of course, Ararat and Aragats mountains. We will have free time on top, we will also see lake Gutan after which we will move to the Black Wall. We will start the hike at a short distance from Kaputan village and end in Fantan village.

At the end of the hike, we’ll visit the Black Sand Wall, which has gained popularity through numerous photographs in recent years.

Gutanasar Mountain in Kotayk region. - We had an interesting day with our mountain guide Arthur. Together we climbed to the top of the mountain, which is an extinct volcanic peak, and the height is 2299 meters. Thank you very much.
