- Şemsettin Günaltay Caddesi - Çiğ Köfte is one of the most popular street food in Turkey. However, originally, Çiğ Köfte has a very authentic and traditional concept of cooking.
As a southeastern dish from the city Urfa, Çiğ Köfte kneading is organised with big groups of people where some of the people would knead the Çiğ Köfte and the rest would play and sing music behind.
At this experience, you will come visit us at our home. We will start with describing the ingredients and special spices of Çiğ Köfte. Although we aim to teach you how to prepare Çiğköfte, the better thing we aim is to teach you the concept, the tradition and culture of Çiğköfte.
After warming up and making you actually feel at home, we will sit together and start kneading Çiğ Köfte. There is various jokes and ways of testing the taste and the intensity of Çiğ Köfte. Of course, we will keep them to tell during our time together :).

- Çiğ Köfte - Most popular Turkish Street food which was originally way far from being a Street Food :)
Learning to make anything with new people creates a unique bond between people. Instead of only the feeling of just travelling in a city, you get to feel to be a part of the city and culture at its highest.
We try to make people have these feelings through creative at-home experiences. Because we believe that feeling at home and being made feel at home creates a very genuine bond.
Çiğ köfte, a very traditional Southeastern Turkish dish, fits to what we try at LokalBond. Çiğ köfte got popular as being a Turkish vegeterian street food. However, in reality, it is a home food where a lot of people gathers and watches it being prepared. At this experience, you will be a part of the cooking team and knead Çiğ Köfte with locals. Then throw it to the ceilings to see if it sticks to see its stiffness. This is also a part of the tradition, but of course we won’t do it due to hygiene reasons.
Come, join us at our home for an original Çiğ Köfte session. Come as a guest, leave as a friend!
