A great day out - Stunning scenery and an insight into rural communities. It's a couple of hours drive out of the city but plenty to see on the journey. A reasonably easy 2km hike from the village up to the Selogriyo temple through rice fields and other regional produce. Fascinating to see the locals at work, even met a few and had a go at harvesting the rice . Everyone so friendly and seem happy for you to be there . So peaceful and scenic , there were no other visitors/tourists the day I went so a very special and relaxing experience away from the hectic crowded experience of the city and the popular attractions. The temple itself is only small but in lovely well kept grounds , a great place just to drink in the views and serenity. Sampled local coffee at a quaint little hut just below the temple. The afternoon visit to the waterfall takes about an hour to get to and again we were the only visitors. This does require a reasonable level of fitness if you want to complete the 1km walk to the base of the fall, it's definitely worth it and is on concrete steps and slopes . This is a very peaceful, laid back slow pace day that rewards you with great scenery and local insights. Shout out to Hibza , my diver/guide , I was expecting to be on a group tour but it ended up just the two of us. His local knowledge and laid back manner made it a great day.

Great rice terrace experience. - Arma , our guide made our trip memorable. We trekked through the rice terraces and made our way to the temple. Onthe way we met the locals and stopped for coffee on the way back at a great little cafe. We then travelled to the waterfall which was spectacular. We had lunch at a local restaurant before heading back. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys walking. Arma did a great job and was very informative. Hans & Judy.

Great experience of the rice terraces. - Great walk up the hills through the rice terraces with fantastic views. Lots of photo opportunities of the local people and villages. Our very good guide took us to a nice coffee shop on the way down the hill back to the village. A great experience finished off with a visit to a spectacular waterfall and then a very good lunch stop. Arma did a great job showing us around.

nice to see - Nice tour if you have a spare day in yogyakarta. The hike to the temple is beautiful! The waterfall is a "nice to have experience" but not an absolute must. Be sure you drive with Arma - he's great!

A tour to discover the hidden gems of Yogyakarta surroundings - Arma has been an amazing host, very patiently answered all our questions and guided us up through the beautiful rice terraces to the Selogriyo temple and then to the secluded Kedung Kayang waterfall. Shoutout to Mika as well, who was an excellent tour manager, available and on time in his communications. Beautiful day and greatly crafted tour, warmly recommended!

Stunning scenery and serenity - Very slow paced and relaxing excursion in beautiful peaceful countryside. The car journeys to the stop points aren't too long and there's plenty to watch out the windows but this all about stunning scenery and an insight into local living at Selogriyo. Some level of fitness is required to climb back up at the waterfall if you choose to go all the way down but the rest of the hiking is unchallenged and just being surrounded by awesome countryside and peace and quiet. I was the only tourist/visitor to both the temple and the waterfall so it was a great escape from the city hustle and bustle. My tour guide/driver was firstly a great safe driver but also helpful and insightful.
