Enjoy the crystal clear waters and ancient ruins of the Kekova Sound in a Sea Kayak. This tour features the exploration of ancient Xera ruins and a swim break in secluded bay of the Kekova Island. Here you will be given information from your guide about flora, fauna and history of the area before the paddle over the ruins of the Sunken City.
After the crossing back to mainland you’ll have time to visit the Simena Village where also a delicious lunch is waiting. For the final part the tour continues through a rock - labyrinth for a secret swim stop and back to our base.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult minimum Age 5 years with parents
- 14 years with written permission
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- A small amount of walking is involved (all optional / max. 30 minutes)
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately

- Good physical condition
- Anyone who’s able to do an hour walking can master this tour easily
- We recommend Swim, surf, water shoes and sandals over flip flops.
- Sun hat, Sun glasses (with neck string), Sun cream
- Emergency medication (e.g. asthma inhaler)
- Swimsuits, Towel
- Change of clothes and shoes
- Wind jacket, for spring and autumn
- Small change for Extra Drinks and Souvenirs.
- The hatches of our kayaks are small so please pack lightly
- We provide a few dry-bags to be shared for things you want to keep dry like camera and phones.
- For sun-lotion and towels a plastic bag is just fine..
- Please leave your valuables in your hotel.
- Cameras and phone only if waterproof during paddling.
- Minimum number of participants is 4.

The best way to see Kekova - We chose the trip from the great reviews on trip advisor and we weren’t disappointed.
We were collected from our accomodation and taken to the starting point. The kayaks and all of the kit were great and we were given instructions on what to do.
Barbaro was brilliant as stated in previous reviews. He has an excellent knowledge of the area and is thoroughly entertaining.
The kayaking was really enjoyable and suitable for all levels of experience. I think Barbaro has a magic kayak though as one minute he would be chatting to us at the back of the group and the next minute he would be at the front of the group ready to talk about something of interest.
We had a few swimming stops and a tour of the sunken city.
The trip included a lovely lunch in Simena and we were able to walk to the castle to explore.
Thanks also to Barbaro‘s assistant, whose name I can’t remember (I’m sorry). He helped us all throughout the day and performed a rather amazing cliff jump!!
This was a fab day and I would really recommend it. It’s so much more fun to explore on a kayak than a boat.

Incredible Guide and Tour - Without a doubt, one of the best experiences on our Turkish Trip. Barbaro is an excellent guide with an incredible knowledge of history and the local area. He keeps the groups small and intentionally starts the tour earlier than other groups to maximize the wow factor of the first cove. It felt like we had a personal tour guide for the history of Mediterranean Turkey. The lunch was welcomed and the short but beautiful hike to the fortress in Simena was worth it. Finally, we found some rocky outcroppings at the end of our journey and did some cliff jumping. All of the 5 Star reviews don't lie. This small business deserves your support. You will not be disappointed.

Fun and Beautiful Kayak - It was a great experience! Barb and Bura explains about historical info on the sights and all in all they were calm and fun to kayak with! The waters are amazingly pretty!

Worth it - It was a great day. It was a really nice exercise. The guides were friendly and knowledgeble. The food was good. All in all we are very happy we did the excursion.

An excellent way to spend a day on the water - This was an excellent way to spend the day on the water with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. The kayaking was fun, not too physical but is overall the best way to view this area - truly stunning. The lunch was also excellent and made for a memorable day out.

Go for the experience of being on water. - Barby is a phenomenal guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the day! The sunken city was meh but the rest was superb. The colours of the waters were like jewels.

Don't just visit Kekova, EXPERIENCE it with Go Lycia! - My partner and I had the most incredible day on the Grand Tour of Kekova & Aperlai. Our guide, Barbaros, was an absolute legend. He was so much fun, incredibly friendly, and a walking encyclopedia of the fascinating history of the area.
Paddling around sunken cities and ancient ruins by kayak was such a unique and rewarding challenge. If you want an unforgettable way to explore this stunning region, book this tour. You won't regret it!

An unforgettable experience - I've taken many guided tours on this trip, and this has been the most enjoyable yet. A great location with stunning views. The guides were amazing, patient, and supportive - never rushing or just going through the motions. They had interesting stories but also gave time for independent exploration and enjoyment. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Highly recommended! - Barbaros is an excellent tour guide and an even better kayaking instructor. My husband and I had kayaked few times and are beginner level but he gave us such great tips and made us feel so comfortable. He has great knowledge about the area! I would definitely recommend booking this tour to add to your Kas/Kekova experience!
