- Rundale Palace Museum (Rundales Pils) - After visiting the Hill of Crosses, you will proceed to Rundale Palace, which is a 40-minute drive away. Rundale Palace is one of the two significant baroque palaces constructed for the Dukes of Courland in present-day Latvia. In 1735, Duke of Courland Ernst Johann von Biron acquired land in Rundale, which included an old medieval castle intended for a summer residence. The old castle was demolished, and construction based on Bartolomeo Rastrelli’s design began in 1736.
Following the palace visit, there is an approximately 3-hour drive back to Vilnius.
