Best Shore Fishing EVER!! - Paul, his wife Michelle, and Chance, their son were WONDERFUL hosts!! We went to the Salmon Hatchery and learned SO much before we went shire fishing. Paul and Chance were right there helping every step of the way! We are definitely doing this again!!! Shop local!!!

Great Experience for Kids! - Chum Charters did a great job and it was a great experience! We took two 7-year-old boys and a 13-year-old and they did great helping them out and getting them in the best spot to catch a fish! Amicable and personable staff. It was my son's favorite part of our trip to Alaska!

True Alaskan hospitality - They saved our day! Our cruise excursion got cancelled and we decided we wanted to fish and all the charters were booked. We found chum fun had fishing gear for rent. We fished off the dock and were catching fish left and right. They really went out of their way to save our day. All very nice people. True Alaskan hospitality at its finest!

Great excursion! - Absolutely the best people to tour with! Took great care of us! Tour of hatchery is very interesting, learned a lot. Got great shots of bald eagles hanging out while we fished. Equipment was in great shape. Can’t say enough good things about owners Paul and Michelle. They mad us feel like family! Tucker was great to fish with even if a bit early in the season to catch much!

Give Chum Fun Charters A Try! - I am a avid fisherman and had always fished for salmon on a boat in Ketchikan. I was unable to book a boat so I decided to try Chum Fun Charters and it was the right decision. Derrick was the guide and what a great guy he was. He picked us up in downtown Juneau and we fished at the fish hatchery. The coho run was slow due to the hatchery being closed in 2020 but he put us on fish that day. There were 6 on the tour and 3 fish were caught but you could see many cohos in the water. He was funny, informative, and a real pleasure to fish with. I was the last person to be dropped off and he insisted on driving me back to my ship. I didn't catch a coho but I plan to fish with Derrick again in May 2024 for kings!

Great time - Derek was fun and a great guide. Enthusiastic and helped me land a 10 pound salmon. He knows qhat he is doing.

What a great experience - The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Special shoutout to Noah for his patience and incredibly positive attitude. Would have given 5 stars if we caught some salmon. I understand that none of us can control nature but more options for fishing where we have better accessto the fishwouldgo a long way. Would definitely go again.

Disappointed - We didn’t really catch any salmon. We did catch a few trash fish and had good opportunity to see some bald eagles. I understand that fishing is fishing. I was disappointed that we were shown a great place to fish near the hatchery and then driven miles away to actually fish somewhere else with no salmon results.

Don’t bother - It got cancelled , what more is there to say , came to Alaska to fish for salmon and it got cancelled
