- BUB ACTIVITY CENTER Asakusa - A yukata is a lightweight, casual version of the kimono, traditionally worn during summer or after bathing, cherished in Japan for its comfort and elegance. In this exclusive experience, guests are greeted with authentic Japanese hospitality and guided step by step by a friendly bilingual host. Expect not only detailed instruction but also plenty of lighthearted conversation and laughter throughout the process.
Participants will design and create a unique yukata to take home and wear outdoors, at home, after a bath, or even at a friend’s party. There’s no stress involved: there’s no need to undress or deal with numbers for measurements. Instead, participants will experience the traditional Japanese method of measuring with thread, making this activity suitable for individuals of any height or size.
A wide selection of fabrics and patterns is available, allowing for personal expression. As a special gift, participants will also receive an obi (the belt used to tie the yukata). Finally, enjoy capturing charming commemorative photos in Asakusa while wearing the self-made yukata—a memory to cherish and an experience that deeply connects with Japanese culture.
