Kendo Battle !!!! - Great instructor !!!! Would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn about authentic kendo training. My brother and I spar in full kendo gear. It was engaging and fun. We had a great time.

This hidden experience should be a part of your trip - This is such an amazing experience that was shared with us. At first, we were a little intimidated with how everything would happen. But Sensei was very excellent at explaining how the processes goes as well as building on the each skill. There are plenty of video and photo opportunities during your session. I would highly recommend this tour for all.

A hidden experience that should be a part of your schedule - This is such an amazing experience that was shared with us. At first, we were a little intimidated with how everything would happen. But Sensei was very excellent at explaining how the processes goes as well as building on the each skill. I would highly recommend this tour for all.

Great experience, friendly staff, well set up & thoroughly enjoyed - Excellent Japanese experience in Tokyo. Samurai trip were really good to accommodate our request for a specific date. Easy walk from the local tube station.
Guys were very welcoming & explained all elements in very good english.
Dojo filled with kendo equipment.
Initially get dressed in kendo - dogi & hakama (top & trousers) then body armour.
Introduction to kendo concept, greeting & respect, basic movements, strikes & blocks.
Then once body armour included more positive strikes & movements.
Really enjoyed the whole experience & would recommend for anyone interested in learning about Japanese martial arts

10/10 must-do experience! - This was an amazing experience! 10/10. When looking for things to do in Japan, this really seals the deal. The class was fun and interactive! The instructors were very polite and fun. So far in Japan, this is my most enjoyable experience! If you're coming to Japan, this experience is a must!

A great experience for those interested in the modern samurai - A great experience for everyone. The instructors are fun and friendly, helping everyone from the basics like putting on the uniforms and basic stances to combination strikes. At every stage, the instructors gave great historical background and information, so it is not just all sword fighting. It gave all of us a much better understanding about kendo and samurai.

Must to do! - Amazing experience! The teachers are great and explain all the steps to learn Kendo rules and pratice! You could fight! MUST TO DO in tokyo!

Great experience - I went with my brother and a total of 13 people were in the session. You start by changing clothes then ritual bowing to pay respects to the gods and to the sensei. Then the crash course begins. There were 3 sensei. One main one and 2 university students who are kendo athletes. They were all very patient with us though it seems only the main teacher is fluent in English - it was enough though. Then after the basics where we basically hit the athletes, we then have a chance to spar/ play by popping a ball attached to our sparring partner. It was a great introduction to Kendo.

A great introduction to Kendo - This was a very enjoyable experience and a highlight of my recent trip to Japan.
Imazu Sensei is a fantastic teacher. I learnt the proper stance and stiking techniques. I also got a chance to practice with his regular students and spar one-on-one.
Bring a towel, some drinking water and a change of clothes because you will work up a sweat.

highly recommended kendo experience - This is a highly recommended kendo experience. The instructor provides careful guidance, and even those with no prior experience can quickly get the hang of it. Beyond learning kendo, participants also gain insights into the culture of Japanese samurai and Japanese sword. After the practice, I felt a release of stress. I highly recommend it to anyone who is fond of Japanese culture.
