Amazing Bike tour through Soweto - Fabulous tour with Thebo. He is a great guide, well-spoken, informative and friendly. Soweto is a wonderful district. Full of history and stories. We did the bike tour. It was moderately challenging, woth some inclines. The sights are spectacular from a historical perspective and Thebo does a great job to give one a clear perspective of Soweto’s history. You get to go through many neighborhoods both affluent and poor giving a great overview of life here. And then you get to try a kota sandwich-traditional Soweto sandwich. Overall 5/5 all around

A lovely day learning about the history of Soweto and its culture - Our guide Thabi was simply brilliant - highly knowledgeable about South African history, very engaging with our group, clearly known by many local people as we cycled around and great fun. We felt super safe at all times.

Great experience - The guide Thabo started off with a WhatsApp message before we arrived ensuring we knew what was going to happen. He was very knowledgeable about all the sightings points and couldn’t have been any more friendlier. I would absolutely recommend this.

Great cycle tour of Soweto - Thabo was a great and very friendly guide (as was his colleague - apologies I cannot remember the name). Even our boys (young teenagers, who had had reservations about the cycling) enjoyed it and felt happy to ask questions, which Thabo was always happy to answer. We felt safe the whole time, and Thabo was really good at bringing life and history in Soweto to life for us. Cycling, we felt much closer to the place (and were greeted by lots of children on the street, while Thabo knows many people and is greeted all the time), and we also went through many areas that were simply lived in, not just the most well known tourist spots. The sandwiches at the end were very good and filling :) We can thoroughly recommend this tour!

Great way to see Soweto and learn the history - Thabo was a brilliant guide. He was fun, flexible and informative. He showed us lots of different parts of the area (in a way it’s harder to when walking), and alongside the history he gave some fascinating insights into present day South Africa. A great guy to hang out with and learn from! One Day Africa more generally were very helpful and accommodating.

Amazing experience - Thambo was an exceptional guide. He explained us all the historical features about SOWETO, the apartheid and South African culture. His knowledge was very good with a point of humanity and kindness and also with the local point of view. Even if we had saw a lot about history the previous days he was able to show us new things and challenge our minds. Cycling through SOWETO allowed us to discover more places than walking and make us a better understanding about this special place. Thambo was very careful with our security (on the road) but also gave us a lot of peacefulness. We absolutely recommend that experience.

Nelsonnian Bikers - The organization is great, the meeting point is typical, with its colorful walls. A small terrace cafe in a place full of history, And not just any!!our guide, Thabo was considerate and safe, He likes to transmit. Small downside: our understanding of English to improve the visit I will propose translator earphones. the quality of the equipment is also to be highlighted.
