Additional Information

Undoubtedly the most distinctive and genuine tour provided in Soweto, frequently mentioned in regional media outlets. Many tours of Soweto touch upon identical landmarks in sizable cohorts. EENBLOND TOURS operates in a wholly unconventional manner. We aim to transform tourists into travelers, focusing on exposing them to contemporary Soweto, facilitating authentic daily life experiences, and enabling interactions with the ordinary locals, all while not overlooking the significance of historical occurrences. Your tour leader enjoys widespread recognition and affection in Soweto and is supported by two to three local guides to enrich your journey. Through my non-profit organization, I empower local communities and entrepreneurs. Over half of the fees from your tour are reinvested into the community. I expressly reject exploiting poverty for tourism purposes.
Reserve your spot now to avoid a hasty tour in a crowded bus, and instead experience a heartfelt, engaging day in an intriguing and hospitable urban environment. We’re eager to introduce you to Soweto through convivial gatherings, exploratory walks, and extensive conversations.

Interesting and different tour. - Incredible opportunity to see the real Soweto life. Gilda and Gabriel were excellent guides and brought the area to life enabling us to go to places where most tour companies would not go.

Soweto Tour Review - The tour was amazing. Gilda is very connected to people and culture. The most memorable segment was the immersion into the history of Soweto, and the beauty of the Joburg spirit. I hosted 14 family members and will never forget this tour.

A once in a lifetime experience! - Gilda is an extraordinary guide. She gave us deep insight into the people and history of Soweto, which changed my entire experience of this country. We saw sights and locations (Mandela's home, KlipTown, etc) through the eyes of people who live there, whose stories are remarkable. As a result of Gilda's guidance, we instantly felt at home, at ease, connected to the joy and strength of this community. Do not miss this opportunity!

Excellent - I have been meaning to write this review for months. My son and I traveled to South Africa in March. We had a week safari planned as well as Cape Town and the Whale Coast for another week. We flew into Johannesburg and had a day before the safari and booked Gilda’s tour. After our amazing vacation (saw the big five, penguins, Cape of Good Hope) my 12 year old still says his favorite day on our trip was the Bespoke tour of Soweto with Gilda and Gabriel! Don’t hesitate to book this tour!

Teens loved it - We booked a last-minute tour with our two teenagers. When I asked at the end “Did you like it?” They answered “No, we loved it!! Especially the music at the end and the kids in Kliptown.” To be honest, we as parents, thought it was a bit too touristy on Vilakasi street with the dancing Zulu’s. But the extra local guides were well informed and nice. And we got time to go up the Soweto Towers (didn’t jump 🫣). The view was awesome. All in all a nice day.
