- Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve - The Reserve has more than 30 different species of animals excluding a variety of cat species we host; from buffalo, white rhino, zebra, eland, wildebeest, springbuck, ostrich to lion, tiger, leopard, hyena, wild dog and many more.\n\nGame Drives:\nGame Drives are provided for in our open Game Drive vehicles which carries 10 or 20 PAX, depending on the group size. Game drives depart at 09h00, 12h00 and 15h00 with an occasional 17h00 drive.\n\nThe game drive spans a timeframe of between 1 & half hours to 2 hours maximum. The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve, a privately held and self-funded game reserve, spans roughly 1,200 ha on Gauteng’s Highveld. This reserve is located within the ‘Cradle of Humankind,’ a recognized World Heritage Site.
Situated within the historical site referred to as the Cradle of Humankind, the Rhino and Lion Park provides visitors the opportunity to meet nearly 20 distinct African species such as Lions, White Rhinos, Cheetahs, and Hippos.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I... - <p>I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I was picked up from the airport by my driver and taken direct to the sanctuary. I was surprised to find that they not only had lions and rhino but many other animals including several species of cats - white tigers, cheetahs that you can interact with for a fee a black leopard and white lions. I was fortunate enough to have gone on a Wednesday which is cat feeding day. The best surprise was seeing painted dogs - I had not seen them on any other animal safari so this was special.</p>
