The Elephant and Monkey Sanctuary Tour offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the character, personality and temperament of these breath taking animals. Definitely an unforgettable experience. Guests are guided in a small groups on foot through the sanctuary. The guides will provide in-depth information and insight into African elephants and what distinguishes them from other elephants.
You will experience the special relationship between the elephant handlers and their elephants and see where the elephants sleeps in their stables. Guests will also learn about the anatomy of the elephants. On some hot days you may even see the elephants swimming.
The monkey tour will be just as exciting, where guides will take you through in-depth information of the monkeys and theft habitat.
From the sanctuary, your driver will take you through to the Haarties Cableway, stopping briefly at the Haartbeespoort Dam, to enjoy the view and take a few pictures. At the cableway reception, our driver will hand over entrance tickets, which will allow you onto the cableway, enjoying the most breathtaking views. At the top of the mountain, you can enjoy lunch (at your cost) while enjoying the views of the dam and the mountains.
After lunch, its back on the cableway and then off to the upside down house. Imagine living upside down, you don’t have to, you will experience it, and have plenty of photo taking opportunities.
